Looking for organic fresh products, Farmboy is your one stop shop, from cheese to cakes, snacks to chips, along with milk , fruits and vegetables, breads- jam.
After having dinner with friends, I asked where did you get those Pork Loin Centre Chops. Farm Boy. I decided to check out the New Waterloo store on Friday, March 19, 2021. When I walked into the store, I was taken aback by the produce section. It smelled fresh and looked like the produce was just freshly picked and washed. I was craving BBQ. The butcher at this store was very friendly and knowledgeable. He asked me how thick/style of cut I wanted. And showed me before he wrapped it up. The price/quality was good. I will shop at this Farm Boy again. They have so many different food sections to explore, I get hungry just thinking about it. A few days later, I seasoned/cooked these chops up, and served them with brown rice and mixed veggies for a nice Sunday dinner.
Farm Boy is probably the perfect supermarket. I picked up some basics for a dish I was making and refilled an essential or two. This gave me a chance to see most of the store and I was very impressed. It strikes me that this store is more expensive, but my bill surprised me by how low it was compared to what I was expecting. I love that their stores are smaller, and yet they have everything, and some great private label options as well. Probably my favorite grocery store.
Love this smaller sized grocery store. Selection of fresh fruits and vegetables was great, with as much Ontario - local as I've seen in March, anywhere. Lots of good store brand products - salad dressings, granola, pickles, Olives etc. Great in store baked goods and a nice meat and fish counter I love this store for its easy to navigate smaller size and great selection of good quality foods.
Fits to it's name fresh and directly from farms to the stores affordable prices comparatively in veggies and fruits u can get best deals and offers in fruits especially in berries but few items are little higher than the prices outside. All departments are available meat, baker, chef, dairy etc. Well organized stalls with proper directions boards good customer service no waiting queue to check out.
I have been waiting for the Waterloo location to open for months! We visited on the opening day, great market. Lots of options for meats, breads, spreads, sea food, bakery items, desserts and fresh produce etc as well as high quality convenient meals. We bought their garlic bread, mango kombucha, skewers of shrimps and sauerkraut and got samples of their delicious chocolate chip cookies. The lay out is very customer friendly and the staff was professional, accommodating and very welcoming! Super happy that they opened in town.
I've been a very loyal customer of Farm Boy for the last 2 years. I've shopped exclusively in their stores. But in the last month I got disappointed in their quality and prices, and I'm thinking to start shopping somewhere else instead. I had to throw away few things I just bought there - both fresh produce and cheese - because they were covered with mold. For these prices you could have better freshness control! And the prices going up every time I come to the store make me think about switching to another store.
This Farm Boy is really nicely laid out and the staff is quite nice; however, the hot food section is very disappointing. I find it extremely over-priced for the quantity/quality of what you get. I picked up a chicken parm sandwich for $9 for lunch today and the chicken was dry, not very much sauce, and very bland. For the virtually the same price, I should have gone to Harvey's across the street and would have gotten a fuller meal.
Pretty nice Farm Boy location, seems a tad smaller than the one on Fairway in Kitchener and there isn’t much hot food right now. Nice staff and clean store, well stocked. Lots of parking.
Zero stars, if I could. Service is horrible now. They don't even have signs on their fish products. Hate to say I even worked here. Because the treatment of customers is disgusting now
