After many years of going to Lee's chicken Abbotsford and thoroughly enjoying the large crispy delicious pieces of chicken they are famous for every time, we were extremely dissatisfied with what we purchased for dinner yesterday. The pieces were tiny, flavorless and all fit into one single small box! We used to buy the exact same amount of chicken pieces and they would barely fit into two boxes. The price has gone up drastically and the quality has gone down the toilet. The last time we were there was May 23, 2022. The chicken was excellent, but the side dishes had shrunk to very tiny portions. Now the chicken has also shrunk. We will not be returning to this location ever.
The size of the chicken pieces was ridiculous. I didn't know chickens grew that small. It obvious the new owners are cutting corners to try to make more money. The taste,or lack thereof was the other thing of note. With the previous owners the quality was always there. These new folks have ruined a great thing. Shame on them. Parking: Parking is hit and miss,with only about 5 spots in total
This chicken was fantastic. I ordered one of the family meals so I would have left overs. It reminds me of Brownies chicken our family used to eat in Mission BC before they closed. Famous chicken was more expensive than KFC but its 100% better. KFC has gone down hill over the years. Famous Chicken has lots of flavor and it's really good quality. Very polite staff.
This is one of those famous holes-in-the-wall that is a delight to find. It's a place that locals know about, but would be completely missed by tourists or newcomers to the city. If you love fried chicken you'll love this place.Food: 5/5
I enjoyed it. Both regular and spicy chicken are good and crispy. Macaroni salad and fries are tasty and the gravy is excellent. I will go back and would recommend
***2021 update*** After 3 different orders recently I can say that the gravy is better than listed in my original experience. The chicken has been consistent. I do believe now I didn't get spicy the first time as requested. Still not my level of spice but for the average consumer it would be directed to, the spice would probably be sufficient. Chicken... 8/10 Gravy.. 9/10 Fries... Still holding out that they could do better with fresh raw potatos and a fry cutter, and would be cheaper for their food costs. 2/10 Business has been getting a facelift inside as well. Looks good, clean, and easy to navigate menu board. Original: 3 stars -> New: 4 stars **2019 original** Alright so lets give this a honest response. I will break down. Gravy - standard run of the mill with ladle of oil from the chicken fryer. But as with attached photo too much fryer oil was used and you can see the separation. Unfortunately the oil was old and you have the taste of burnt chicken bits from the oil as a taste of the gravy. Cannot truthfully recommend or not to as this may be a limited occurrence Fries - standard crinkle cut fries. Frozen from a bag and deep fried. A definite missed opportunity here. Do not recommend. Chicken - Crunch - well i was asked if i wanted all spicy. I said yes please. I feel the kitchen put down a regular variant. Was not spicy to my taste and didnt taste any spice. But chicken was well battered, Juicy and fresh. Staff - polite and respectful. Place was quiet at this time. Overall: chicken 8/10, fries 2/10, gravy 3/10. Review take away: Better than KFC, would get chicken here but no sides

A hole-in-the wall restaurant where you can get a quick bite to satisfy your deep fried chicken craving. Honestly I was impressed with how crispy and juicy the chicken pieces were, especially since I was having a hard time finding a decent fried chicken place around the area!
Best gravy & yangnyeom chicken in town! My only go-to chicken place in Abbotsford!Food: 5/5
