Dr May is NOT a specialist ...he's an MD with an interest in pain modalities. As a so called "pain specialist" he is of little use. The people in pain of Powell river are being cheated out getting the help we so desperately need. The guy is fixated on a breathing technique called Box Breathing. A technique developed for anxiety NOT pain. But his ego is greater than anyone's pain. So he has nothing to offer but Box breathing. So if you have chronic debilitating pain ...then be prepared to breath yourself out it. After all, the pain is just in your head right ? And if box breathing isn't working for you then YOU must be doing something wrong!

As a patient mainly of Dr. L Burechailo I can personally say I have never received better treatment. As someone who works in heath care I often see issues brushed aside but that has never been the case when visiting any physician at family tree. Leta in particular has gone out of her way to foster an amazing relationship, I always feel like I can share everything and anything with Leta without judgment. Some doctors won’t admit when they aren’t sure of something; that is not the case in this clinic. I have personally been referred or met almost every physician/practitioner in this clinic including Dr. Moorewood, Dr. May, Dr. Watson and Nurse Practitioner Erin and I could not have been more pleased with the way everyone treated me. The multidisciplinary team that is available at family tree is unreal, we are especially lucky in a small town like Powell river. I could not be more thankful to all the physicians and staff at family tree for their constant support throughout my recovery and I truly could not have done this without them. Anyone would be lucky to have the practitioners at family tree involved in their treatment.
