“FAMILY HEALTH TEAM- ELLIOT LAKE” I always had a good experience here…wait time is ok not too much like the other big cities. Staff is really nice and welcoming. Never ever had any bad experiences. The only problem is when you call you have to wait a lot and that’s really frustrating sometimes otherwise everything is good. Thank You Health Team!!
I moved. from alberta to elliot lake with my children , I have been trying to get threw to the same day clinic as I do not have a dr I’ve called several times in between 830-10am and always a recording says there full I go in to see what going on and get told to call and just keep calling Only if my son didn’t need routine follow up with blood work as he deals with high medication due to seizures and the hospital here been there 3 times and what a joke some of these dr are The last dr wouldn’t do blood work for a week she wanted to adjust his meds first but we don’t even know if they need to be adjusted why play around with meds and not know if he need them up What a headache to get a apt I begin to wonder is there even is a same day clinic? ‍‍‍feeling very frustrated looks like a trip to blind river hospital
I cannot get a doctor here yet. I have to go to Sudbury for specialized tests if I need them. I got a referral for an appointment to see an EMT doctor after going to the emergency department at SJGH but that was close to a year ago and I am going to have another 6 months more to wait. Another added referral was sent to a specialist in Sudbury, but I haven't heard anything there either.
I never imagined in my life saying that I've enjoyed my visits to the dentist's office until going to the Family Health Team in Elliot Lake; God bless them and their patrons! Amen.
Spend 40min on hold befor I just hung up ... sent My pregnant fiance in as calling was pointless. Turns out no one is will to help a young disabled pregnant women expecting her first child.. we are both set to be first time parents and looking for advice and help but not in elliot lake I guess.
Staff are friendly, professional, and compitant. My Doctor- Dr. Britton-Foster- is open to the possibility of new treatments, answers any and all my questions, and hasn't ever given me something simply to 'passify' me. They really have your best interests in mind. Again, very professional.
We are originally from Thunder Bay. After 3 years here, although it took 18 months to get a doctor, we have found the care provided by the emerg, hospital and Elliot Lake Family Health is far better than we received in Thunder Bay.
I am not reviewing the doctors except to say they are excellent. The team is run like a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, precision as to appointment times, cleanliness, staff personnel-- i.e. nurse, office. They are their to process you to the doctor at appointed times and that is exactly what they do only they do it better.
Extremely friendly and helpful
Nothing but respect for my Dr. Not a pill pusher! Staff is very courteous.
