We stayed at the Empress Hotel in Victoria for our honeymoon, and it was truly the most magical experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly — we felt genuinely cared for the entire time.nnThe hotel itself is stunning — full of historic charm with elegant touches everywhere. Our room was beautiful, with a lovely view and luxurious details that made it feel like a fairytale. I honestly felt like a princess staying there!nnEvery aspect of our stay was memorable, from the cozy atmosphere to the impeccable service. If you're looking for a romantic getaway or a special place to celebrate, I can't recommend the Empress enough. We will always remember this experience with so much love and gratitude.
We booked a room here for our anniversary last month and I was beyond happy with the entire experience! The staff was all very helpful, friendly and radiated professionalism. We had made a reservation for afternoon tea and were not able to attend due to unforeseen circumstances and they were able to find us a spot the following day for tea instead without a single issue. The room was super clean and comfortable and well worth every penny! Highly recommended staying here at least once in your life. :
I have never stayed at the Fairmont Empress before and this was my first time. I attended on a business trip and from the welcoming and accommodating staff, the great central location and the beauty of the hotel and grounds, I would definitely recommend and be back. The hotel staff were great getting me a room facing the water with a view, which was really nice. The room was very nicely appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The bar is a great place to hang out with colleagues and friends and with live music, it's an added bonus. The hotel is very clean and the grounds are gorgeous. Definitely would recommend to anyone!
VERY convenient location. Dog friendly, lots of dogs, I love dogs. Didn't eat at the hotel but I am sure it was great because it is always full. They had good live music. The room was a bit too small, specially the bathroom, it was very cramped, maybe it was the room the gave us on the 1st floor, then again, I didn't go for the expensive options. The bed was good, everything was clean and the service was great, that the main thing. Very friendly staff. If you are planning on walking to places and enjoying the shopping/restaurants that are close by, this place is in the perfect spot.
We came here for high tea in late April, and before that experience, we walked around the grounds and the inside of the hotel. There were beautiful, tulips blooming, and the inside of the hotel was very nice. It’s a landmark in the downtown of Victoria because it’s near the parliament building and very close to the inner harbour. It’s a nice place to visit to just look at the atmosphere.
