I had a fun visit to Fabricland in Nanaimo today. It was my first time shopping here. The shop is large and well stocked. I had to wander around to get the lay of the land. There were some good sales for members. The staff were nice - Sandy who cut my fabric was very careful and kind.
I really like the staff at Fabricland - they are wonderfully helpful. Better quality fabric would be nice, but I can always find a fabric that works, and I'm so pleased that we have a fabric store. It's very difficult to buy fabric online.
Was looking for a small remnant of Vinal to recover the arms on my office chair.... Was directed by helpful staff to a remnant bin and found what I needed marked down by 75%....I'm a happy camper. Added Note Got my project done today, took me a very short time, way cheaper then buying a new office chair, which is still in decent shape. I’m attaching pictures, all black is before and with the dark grey arms the finished project. I am ver pleased

First time sew-er and went to Fabricland in Nanaimo, received the best customer service from a person named Lianne. She explained so much to me and made my shopping experience whopping! So many bolts of fabric all over the place it's almost overwhelming. Take your time you'll find a fav.
Didn’t find what i needed but it was well organized and staff were friendly.
Sometimes it's hard to find an employee to help or to answer a question. But generally good. Also seems to be a bit less selection than the old store, especially considering the size.
The location is a bit weird to get at. Selection of products is fantastic and the staff were good.
Great parking and very friendly staff but the selection of material is not good. There is very little choice regarding fancier type materials such as satin or chiffon. I will probably make a trip to Duncan as the Fabricland store there is so much better.
I've tried shopping ar Fabricland in Nanaimo twice, once at their previous location and tonight at their current location and both times have been horrible. Last time I left without anything and went to Duncan Fabricland to get help. Tonight I had to make a purchase and it is so hard when you do not know what is what and you are at their mercy for help and knowledge. The staff wavers between ignoring to hostile. I don't understand why they are so unhelpful. It is disappointing.
