I’ve been here a few times and it has been amazing every time. Can’t recommend highly enough. If you’re in Burlington and want Indian or Nepali food, it is the place to go. Custom service is great and food is even better.
Overall decent but fairly inconsistent quality. Veg Momos and vegetarian chow mein dishes were good. The Goat Briyani was a greasy awful mess too much oil and odd flavors and spices. Naan wasn't particularly good either. I feel some things they do well others not so much. Hit or miss. Features: None
Their Thali Platter was worth it alone. Then, the Naan just added that much more of a smile to our faces. Worthy of repeated visits and loved their flavors. Glad to have this tasty option available
Delicious! Popped in on a whim. Had the chana masala with naan. The naan portion is quite generous. Our table tried the cheese, garlic, and butter naan. Tough to crown a winner from that trio. Friendly service. I’ll be back!
This is is a no frills establishment, formerly some worn-out fast food joint, by the look of things, but the place was clean; service was casual but competent; and the food was excellent. Vegetarian options: Like most Indian restaurants there were lots of tasty vegetarian choices.
A hidden gem. Great authentic Indian food. Delicious. More people should be visiting this resto, especially the local. Missing out. Service was quick and friendly. Will revisit when I'm in town. Strong recommendation.
My takeout food was taking longer than estimated and I was brought a free appetizer type treat and offered a free drink from the fridge due to the longer wait time. Was totally unexpected, but I appreciated the attention to providing a good customer service experience. Would have continued to come here regardless as I have since opening. :
Some food on the menu are great while some are a bit off. I think it depends on the day. Because I ordered Tandoori chicken in the past and it was great and just last week I got the same but the quality has decreased, I think
The only times we go ahead and write reviews is when we want to be fair to the future customers coming to the place because the food is exceptionally bad and we feel robbed. We do not intend to offend any readers except the owners of this place. From the reviews and ratings, we decided we would like to try out this place. Considering we have had our fair share of Asian/Indian food growing up and coming from an Asian/Indian background, we known our spices and recipes pretty well. We have well-travelled and tasted our cuisine in numerous places and on numerous occasions. We have our family in restaurant business that knows their expertise very well. We obviously cook similar dishes ourselves at home. It could not be a “more” authentic and relatable experience for us to render a comparative analysis here. We ordered: Veg Pakora, Chicken Dumplings Fried, Lamb Curry, Chana Masala, Garlic Naan, and Pappudum. Rice was complimentary with Chana Masala and Lamb Curry. We opted for mild to high spice level. We do eat heavily spiced food at home. Portions are pretty small for the prices. Prices are what are average. Overall Rating: Poor taste and unappetizing. Veg Pakore were not fried but seemed baked or air-fried. Pale in taste and average. Chicken Dumplings had to be returned immediately. These also seemed like they were baked - dry on the outside and not juicy/soupy like regular dumplings or pan-fried. Additionally, the chicken tasted funky and it was literally stone-cold inside upon touching. We assumed it was frozen and stored. Later thawed and forced to bake before serving. Lamb curry was okay but the meat seemed a day old. The meat was stiff and not fresh. Possibly cooked and frozen for storage as well. Chana Masala was good. It’s sauce seemed basic with no flavor or spice profile to deliver. Garlic naan was okay but seemed slightly cold. Last thing we want is our bread to be cold too. Ugh. Pappudum was basic and tasteless. Our verdict - We do believe that this restaurant caters to the “Americanized” taste in food. We our offended at their audacity to deliver such pale and lacking food to the diverse crowd that it caters to. Best bet is to just stick to the Nepali food in this restaurant - probably if you still want to go there. The worst thing their food could give us was food poisoning from using stale ingredients. We did not request a refund and gave no tip. Sadly we won’t be coming back to this place.
Ordered the shrimp curry and fried veg dumplings. I don’t think the food was cooked when I ordered it. It didn’t have that fresh cooked smell. I did a to go and when I was paying for the food I saw a cockroach running on the countertop. The cashier smashed it with his hand quick. I didn’t end up eating the food and won’t be ordering from you guys again.
