So incredibly thrilled with European Goldsmith! The phone service was excellent. The in-person service was excellent. The location is excellent. The free off-street parking is excellent. But most importantly, my rings are stunning and were repaired THE SAME DAY! I could not be more impressed and will take my future business there without hesitation!

My amazing hubby took his time selecting me a one of a kind wedding set and I was devastated when it was damaged and in need of serious repair. I had reservations about handing my precious set over to just anyone. After getting a personal referral, I decided to check out EG. I received a warm greeting from the Team at EG and the Owner/Goldsmith John happened to be in the showroom at the time of my visit and he was able to go over my options. My ring had a lot of sentimental value and I wanted to keep and re-use as much of it as possible, including the diamonds and platinum. John reassured me that he would do his best when it came to my requests. Nicole did a fabulous job helping me from start to finish, she answered ALL of my questions and helped me out by locating THE RIGHT replacement diamond for the one that was missing. Nicole brought in a few options to the store so we could view them in person and find the ONE. John was able to recreate my custom set with a few eye-catching improvements. I’m still 110% in LOVE with the man and my set that EG helped me recreate while keeping it as close to the original version as possible. I would highly recommend European Goldsmith, I found them to be knowledgeable, fair, creative and overall a good crew. PAIN IN THE BUTT !!! Yes, I was a complete pain in the butt. I wanted to design my wife's wedding and engagement ring. I thought I knew all about diamonds from the brief 10 minute video I watched on YOUTUBE. BOY, WAS I WRONG. I wanted very good quality diamonds and I started to research about them. I came to learn that FOREVERMARK "BLACK LABEL" are simply the best quality you can buy. Their diamonds go through an exacting grading process and are unparalleled. I tried to find a local dealer that caries this brand of gem. The ones I spoke to were not meeting my customer service expectations. Rude, impolite or just not engaging. I searched and searched and stumbled upon European Goldsmith's name through Forevermark's website. They carry said diamonds. After speaking with Kim, the owner and front end of the business, she explained in great detail, the answers to my questions. I must have spent 1/2 hour or more on the phone with her for the first of many chats. As my wife is my soulmate and perfect for me, I wanted a diamond and ring of the same quality. I had about 25 k budgeted for the stone. 30-35 for the rings total. Well, she found me a beauty. I won't get into the grading, but suffice it to say......it was worth every penny. Fast forward 8 months and I want to start designing the rings, both mine and my wife's. I knew what I wanted in the design, but could not draw it, nor could I clearly explain it. I searched and searched and could not find a ring similar to what I was envisioning. Now, please keep in mind that after countless phone calls , E-mails........we finally were getting somewhere. Enter John, Kim's husband. He designed a ring on the computer that was close, but not quite. After much tweaking, we finally got it right. So, while all of this was going on, I told Kim what I wanted in my band. I wanted 1 Forevermark in mine and 2 more for my wife's wedding ring. The big stone, 1.3k was going in her engagement ring. I'm leaving out a lot of tiny details, but .......the day was here. I was going to drive from Richmond to Kelowna to have the big stone set. Yes, Richmond..........to Kelowna. 8 hours round trip. All I can say is that when I got there, I was very surprised/ shocked. Their Store was immaculate, gorgeous and honestly, one of the nicest I have ever seen. I was greeted by a friendly lady at the counter and I asked for Kim. She went into the back room and out came Kim with a huge smile. A beauty, just like the stones she sold me. After chit-chatting for a while it was time to see the rings, albeit the stone had yet to be set in the engagement ring. THEY WERE AMAZING. A HOME RUN !!!!! John, who was working his butt off behind the scene came out to greet me. NICE GUY, moreover, a PRO. He's a cool guy with a knack for designing pieces for pain-in-the-butt customers, such as myself. He took the rings and had to tweak the size on mine, set the big stone and rhodium and polish them up. He appeared about an hour or so later and it was time. THE BIG REVEAL. WOW......I saw the engagement ring and damn near fall over. I have never seen a nicer ring. Honestly. Mine was amazing as well. Before taking up the other half of your day reading this review, I will add that if you're looking for a professional team....Kim, John and staff are the One Stop Shop. Thanks Kim, John and staff. See you in July to pick up our custom designed crosses. My daughters cross fits into my wife's, and my wife's fits into mine. A Forevermark diamond in the middle of each cross intersection. I can't wait !!!!! THE PAIN CONTINUES......BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I can’t say thank you enough to Kim, John and team for creating the ABSOLUTE PERFECT custom Engagement ring for my now Fiancé. Not only did they search high and low for the diamond I was looking for, but they managed to get it at an incredible price. John also used his top tier skills and crafted the setting EXACTLY the way I had envisioned it to be. John’s work and smithing skills are unmatched, Kim’s knowledge about diamonds and the pros/cons of various metals is immense, and the rest of their team has proven to be very pleasant and knowledgeable to deal with as well. Their customer service has been first class, and as I am in a service industry myself, I really appreciate the way they operate and bend over backwards to make sure you are nothing but thrilled with the end product. Overall, a huge shoutout and thank you to John and Kim Berg for helping me get one step closer to spending eternity with the love of my life!

I have doubts about their competence. I recently lost an emerald in a ring that was valued at $2900. It had 3 emeralds, 6 blue sapphires and 6 good diamonds. The emerald I lost was obviously not very expensive. I first took it to European Goldsmiths who took over a day to respond and gave me an estimate of $800 to $1200. They said they would have to send it away for repair and the finish on my 18 kt. gold may not be the same anymore. Not only did the price seem unreasonable but this comment on the "finish" seemed strange to me also. I got my ring back and took it to the Bench. They said they would find a stone the same size and quality and get back to me. The quoted me $280 which seemed much more reasonable given the appraised value. They honored their quote and did a fantastic job.
