Oh, what a find. I love Ethiopian food and this was all that! Don't go if you are in a rush, this place is a whole chill vibe. The food was amazing, and do get the mango drink. It was so nice not to be in a loud restaurant, even the other dinners were speaking only for their table to hear. Again, it was a vibe. I loved it and I will be returning often.
Although I would have loved to dine in and enjoy the full in-person experience, the quality of the food still came through in the takeout meal. The combination C2, which has a variety of delicious meat and veggie dishes, provides an abundance of food that is well worth the value. Make sure to order extra injeera - you won't regret it!
Wasn’t expecting much but the food was excellent, among the best Ethiopian food we have had! We shared the vegetarian meal for 3 and every dish was well done - yellow lentils, red lentils, cabbage with carrots, greens. The injera was plentiful and tasty. Will happily return.
We had the most delicious and satisfying meal with my family. Our server helped us decide on this giant platter of various dishes, and was extremely patient explaining how to properly enjoy each tasty dish!Recommended dishesBeef Sambusa, Whole Lentil Sambusa, Kitfo, Injera, Doro Wat, Yemisir Wat, Jasmine Tea
Very good food and a great ambiance! This place was recommended by many people and it definitely lived up to my expectations! The staff was very kind and helpful when ordering too! If you love a fun meal out, this is 100% the place for you!Recommended dishesAlicha Wat, Ybeg Dey Wat, Injera, Combo Of, Doro Wat, Atkilt Wat
Great selection of Ethiopian cuisine! They open a bit late on Saturdays. I'd want a second experience there to write a more comprehensive review. Something wasn't right in my first visit!Food: 5/5
WOW! Just, eat here as soon as you can. We ordered one of the Taste of the Cottage for two meals with lentil soup and the sambusa and the tomato salad. What a delight. Their greens are so packed with flavor and the red meat was tender and perfectly cooked, the red lentils were mildly spicy with other not hot spices I've never had before. Everything came wrapped in soft flat bread ingera that was tender with a touch of sourdough flavor. But if you eat one thing, get the chicken! They have doro wat and doro alicha. GET BOTH. Rich, velvet goodness you won't regret. Vegetarian? No problem, you will die for their cabbage and veg stew and their collards cooked with onions. Hearty and delicious! The portions match the prices, I couldn't finish mine. The sambusa were a bit underwhelming, but a nice starter. The man taking orders was lovely. I hope to dine in as soon as that is possible. We will make sure to stop here every time we are in Milwaukee.
We got the taste of cottage platter and it was amazing. Very flavorful food and a good ambiance. I could have used a little more spice but I will just ask them next time.Food: 5/5
This is one of the best meals and service I have had in a long time! The food was incredible and so delicious, the ambiance was so relaxing, and the service was just the best. It was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I will be back again and again! I would recommend this place to everyone I know!
Excellent Ethiopian restaurant with great vegetarian options. I would recommend to try the combination options they have vs the individual options. This will give you chance to enjoy lot of variety food in one dish then ordering individually. Parking is one of the issue during pick hours so you might want to part as soon as it available and walk to restaurant then try to find close to restaurant and then circling around. Make sure you try their bread option in started and tea.
