Estiatorio Kavos

My husband and I went to Kavos for the first time last night with another couple. It was a toss up between Kavos and another place in Old Montreal. We're so glad we chose Kavos instead. Started with drinks at the bar and the barmaid was polite and very friendly. She actually wanted to talk to us who were sitting at the bar! A nice change from some of the barmaids/barmen we've been served by recently, who pay more attention to their phones. For dinner we were served by Peter. In terms of service and wait time, everything was pretty reasonable. For appetizers we ordered the fried zucchini/eggplant, fried calamari, and pikilia. Everything was great except we were a little disappointed that there was no kopanisti not sure if it was because they ran out or just an oversight. Fried zucchini was awesome because it wasn't oily like at other restaurants. For the main course we ordered the ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and no complaints there. The restaurant was busy but not overbearing. I love that the tables are far apart so you're not elbow to elbow with the table next to you. Five stars+, we'll definitely be back and would love to organize networking/fundraising events here in the future.

We had a wonderful dinner last night. 2 couples. I had the lamb chops with truffle fries, my wife the braised lamb with orzo, the other couple shared a sea bass with Greek potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their meal. They bring you delicious grilled flat bread with roasted garlic to start. Baklava cheese cake for dessert! The staff is very welcoming and our server was a young woman who was very polite, friendly and experienced. A very pleasant evening. The quality of the food is top notch! Parking: Large lot in front Dietary restrictions: They were very aware of gluten free options

we went for dinner as a group of 3. first a guy refused to sit us in a section of the restaurant where another man had agreed for us... then throughout our visit, there was this one guy who was walking back and forth in the restaurant going around like crazy. he was marching then staying in one corner and started at us made us too uncomfortable. when serving us, 3 people came at the same time reaching the dishes from our table from different sides of our table which was too disturbing. this guy's stomach was touching my friend all the time and finally dropped our jacket on the floor. the same last guy - walking around - was sometimes dancing and singing too! the environment was so weird. there was another guy making fresh pasta dough in the oven who yelled at one server in the middle of restaurant!!! we thought he was fighting. embarrassed the server so much!! my lamb chops was too cold. I had to ask for warming it up. by the time they returned it to us, it wasn't fresh and juicy and the fries on the sides was saggy!!! again that guy was too annoying we asked and they said he's the manager!! the food also took forever to arrive!!! worse experience

We Stayed at Ruby Foos Hotel and had Dinner at the Restaurant . The food was way over priced and not very good . I would never eat here again . The Staff was very friendly and is the only reason this restaurant gets any stars at all . The Bar wasn't that bad but drink the Bottled beer not the Draft on Tap There is not a wide rage of beers to choose from . They should fix that . Too bad because I love the location. Good Luck

Food was great and the servers are really nice! We were a big group but they still took the time to care for us. The ambiance is a little dark, perfect for dates or family dinners.

Have to say went there this evening with 4 other people. The decor was very nice had very high expectations for the restaurant but was very very dissapointed. After placing our order it took almost 40 min to receive an our appetizers. Well at least the first few and had to keep asking for the rest of the plates a few times. Finally they arrived and then we waited most 1:30 hrs to get our mains. After repeated requests to the waitress. Some other waiter came and said to us be patient well at lease your got your appitizers really that is your answer. We finally received the steak which was $58 dollars came it was cold and had zero zero flavor. The sea bass my wife and her mother in law had was very good they clearly enjoyed it. The pizza that was ordered by the other couple was literally out in the oven as we were finishing our mains. They got there pizza it was half cooked and un edible. Have to say one of the worse experience I have had and they clearly have zero customer service

Very nice place. Excellent service and location. Free parking. I highly recommend ordering the chicken: very tasty and juicy, and a HUGE portion!

Good vibes, amazing food.

The restaurant is beautiful and interesting. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food is fantastic! The Atlantic Mussels and Chicken Skaras were particularly delicious see picture. Fair prices, highly recommended just avoid the black liquorice candy on the way out ;-

We had an unbelievable meal here. This place is old-school traditional Greek. Everything from the Greek salad to the swordfish to the steak to the lamb chops was perfectly prepared.
