Established in 1964
Ernie's Barbershop was founded by Ernesto Magliocco, who migrated from the small town of Consenza, Italy to Canada at the age of 23. He started cutting hair at the age of thirteen, so finding a job at a local Toronto Barbershop was only natural. Ernie was employed by a man named Frank, who happens to be the previous owner of the Barbershop. Within a year of his employment the opportunity to purchase the building and business presented itself, Ernie decided to take the risk, lacking the english language and with only a small bank roll to work with. Today, 45 years later, and two new young additions to the team, the Barbershop still stands with generation to generation of loyal cliental ranging from all ages and parts of the GTA. Ernie's Barbershop is the epitome of an authentic barbershop, simply establishing personal connections and friendships with their cliental while delivering quality cuts in an inviting surrounding.
