The city of Erie is actively taking steps to make this library better and better. There's a ton of resources, and the new Idea Labs are amazing. The ground floor was just removed, and it looks great! Totally worth a visit if you haven't been in awhile.

Hope it stays funded and open for decades to come. Easily one of the best places to go for learning new stuff, meeting and even job searching. Best of all It's free!

You don't know how nice your library is till you travel to other cities. We're so lucky to have such an enormous sized library. Let alone the sheer amount of books, cds and dvds they allow you to rent at a time! Some library's only allow up to 5 or so. The Erie library is a true gem. I hope it continues to grow over the years. It's beautiful and everyone is super friendly! Yeah there might be some noisy homeless in there once in awhile but it's nice they allow them a place to relax and especially stay warm in the winter.
