We assist our members in the practice of law and by engaging in activities that promote the public's understanding of and respect for our American system of law and justice. The Erie County Bar Association seeks to provide for our membership appropriate opportunities for education, programs, services, and staff assistance to facilitate the practice of law, opportunities for collegiality and networking among members, and finally, high standards of civility, professionalism and ethical conduct.
The trained staff of the Erie County Bar Association's Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) will provide name of a private attorney a specific area of need with a reduced consultation fee. Participating attorneys are among the most qualified in Erie County, and the ECBA’s Lawyer Referral and Information Service is approved by the American Bar Association. Our attorneys are required to go through an application process and meet area specific qualifications to ensure that they are qualified.
