Credit where credit is due. They do their very best, given the fact that Erie is turning into Detroit/Chicago/DC on the Lake. EPD are catching most of these shooters, and for that I tip my hat to them. Keep up the good work. I've noticed that the majority of their officers are impersonal, arrogant pricks on a power trip (some more than others, not naming names), and are just there to get their jollies harassing citizens and collect a paycheck on city taxpayers' dimes, but a few of them do seem to actually care about Erie and its citizens. Just my opinion.

Last night on May 11th 2017 epd responded to a call about a drunk man trying to get into my neighbors home because of a situation with his daughter bullying the neighbors sister . the man yelling woke me up out of my dead sleep . The neighbor came outside and informed the man he was not coming into the house . after about 15 mins of the arguing he decided he was threatned in some odd way so he called epd . They got to the residence and the young woman was distraught and upset so like any other person she was explaining how terrified she was and dont you know the police officer looked at her and said "shut the f*** up , you are annoying me" so the lady was amazed and suddently stopped in awe and informed him that he is not allowed to speak to her in such a disrepectful manner . the epd officer than began to contradict what he such said . but i heard it loud and clear . so after the young lady went back into her home he walked over to the man and woman who came there in a very violent manner and calmly said " i understand people get a little drunk and start to get rowdy but you just cant knock on peoples doors at 11 at night " . i listened to them speak about the young woman for about 10 mins and it amazed me that the epd would speak about a woman like that . so after it all died down i knocked on my neighbors door to make sure it was all okay here to come find out her and her mother and her younger sister had to go to the mans house earlier in the day because his daughter pushed the little girl trying to steal her phone and they hoped the mother would be able to handle it . so i barely give epd one star because of the nonsense i witnessed last night .

I would like to know how it is legal for a person to park their car in a handicap parking spot and leave it there for over 2 months now.The inspection ran out on 9/15 & plates expired on 5/16. But due to the handicap placard being legal he does not get a ticket. Officer Durkin has been called several times about this situation. He has never returned any of my calls. I have called abandon vehicle dept. Chief of police. Traffic investigation. Parking authority. Also handicap sign dept. No one will do a thing. In the mean time he parks at the edge of my driveway causing me to have to drive on my grass and back up just to pull in my own driveway. Where is the law? Car should have been towed weeks ago. I will just have to go to media and make it public to get anything done!
