Just outside of the city the Karst is a great place to go for a walk/hike. There's plenty of things to see, including the caves and the paths are nice and long but not too challenging so it makes for a relaxing reprieve into nature. this is one of my favourite places to go hiking- especially a few hours before sunset and there's usually virtually no one here, if there are plenty of people there are so many paths you don't really see anyone else. Highly recommend - if only to see the cave entrances, which are super cool.

The hiking trails are ok. They are interrupted in several places by the urban sprawl that has pushed into the area. Watch for ticks we brought home a few dog ticks even after doing a good tick check. My kids liked the small caves though.

Great for smaller kids because its not huge. Also good for younget kids learning to ride bikes off road.

Although they have to caves listed on the map, the Pottruff Cave did not seem as if it went anywhere below the ground. I was there during the late winter and even then it looked nice, but I'm sure it looks far better during the fall or summer. Being surrounded by homes also takes away a little from the feel of the park.

I went for some trail running. Great scenery. I enjoyed running the various trails and weaving through for different routes. There is even some single track. The snow was mostly thawed and people had been letting their dogs leave their markings in the middle of the trail because until the snow melts nobody will know right. The dog owners we passed had dogs that were actually trained dogs (most people think their dog is or is friendly. They're not). They responded to recall command's or moved to the side and let us pass without reacting as if we weren't even there.
