Epicerie Cote

Great epicerie in Tadoussac. The only place to really get groceries and alcohol. They have pre-made sandwiches and other foods...perfect for a day trip or bringing whale watching. Only 4 stars because the prices are 10-15% higher than what you will find at Metro or Provigo in La Malbaie. Otherwise, a great epicerie.

They have all the hard stuff

Best supermarket in the area! There is pretty much everything you need with nice welcoming staff.

Still handing out plastic bags, not encouraging clients to use the cardboard boxes available. Plastics end up in the sea. You'd expect a whale watching town to promote environmental behaviour

Pros: good choice of food. Cons: french-speaking personnel who need to practice english, especially being in a touristic area. Cashier's attitide became cold once I spoke english.

Price were reasonable, enough varieties to choose from. Friendly staff and the store is clean.

Convenient and will find everything you need for your stay in Tadoussac. We tried the subs that they do on-site little counter in the back and they were good sandwiches and good portion. It was a good light and fast option as a quick lunch before we went on the tour to see the whales. They also have little picnic tables in front of the store to sit and eat. There’s also vending machine for a quick drink just beside the picnic tables. Prices were a bit higher for some stuff compare to gatineau/Ottawa area but still reasonable. This establishment sell alcohol. Staff/ employees were polite and respectful. Place was clean.

You will find almost everything you need!

Don't let the modesty of the face this edifice shows to the street make you think this is a lesser place. It's a complete grocery store, with all the departments you'd have the right to expect. This place doesn't seem to be living the detrimental effects of heavy tourism all the other shops around clearly suffer from.

The only grocery store we found and it did the trick. We purchased things like snacks and items to make our own breakfast. It’s a little on the slim picking side in terms of choice but it had a little pharmacy section that was well appreciated.
