I’ve played at other venues where the air quality made long sessions uncomfortable, but here, I felt great even after playing for over two hours! Epic Sports Badminton Club is a good place to go if you just want to have fun playing badminton. The place has about 20 courts with high ceilings and covered lights. The court rental is about $30 per hour during the morning, and there might be a higher fee for the evening. The place could use a good cleaning.
Courts are good and plentiful but it can get busy so book ahead. Could be cleaner and sometimes very hot/sweaty despite the high ceilings. Reasonably priced relative to other places.
**Disappointing Experience After Years of Loyalty at Epic Badminton**nWe have been loyal players at Epic Badminton for four to five years, and up until now, we've really loved the place. However, after our most recent experience, we feel compelled to share our disappointment. Today, we had an unpleasant interaction with one of the associates, Rachel, whose rude and dismissive behavior left us feeling very frustrated.nWe have been playing on the same courts 7 and 9 for a few years, but after COVID, things drastically changed. We were suddenly told that we couldn’t have the same courts anymore because others needed to be given preference. While we understood the need for policy changes, the way it was communicated felt dismissive and biased. Even though we’ve been flexible, continuing to play on different courts, today’s situation was the last straw.nDue to summer schedules, we’ve had to cancel a few of our Tuesday games. We always make an effort to inform them in advance, but last Tuesday, we had to cancel at the last minute due to an emergency. When we arrived today, Rachel rudely insisted we pay a cancellation fee, despite our explanation about the unforeseen situation. Not only did she inaccurately accuse us of no-shows, but when we firmly clarified that we always cancel in advance, she reluctantly corrected herself and acknowledged it was a late call. Her tone throughout was condescending and unprofessional, with no apology whatsoever.nBecause of this experience, we’ve decided to cancel all of our Tuesday sessions moving forward, and we will likely cancel Thursdays as well. It’s sad to say that we feel there has been biased treatment, especially towards the South Asian community, which has made us feel unwelcome after years of being loyal customers.nIt's very unfortunate that one associate's rude behavior could ruin what was once an enjoyable experience. We hope the management takes note of this, as loyal members like us shouldn't be treated with disrespect.
