Enmax closed my account and opened a new one under my name without informing me I paid off both accounts they expect me to pay the bill after my move out date even though they informed me they closed my account. You guys can't own up to your mistake and try to put it on me because I didn't say I moved even though you closed my account. Stoopid
I moved from Calgary and terminated my service and account with Enmax as of April 22. I just received my final bill which was astronomically high. I realize that prices have gone up, but really? I noticed that while my last day of service was April 22, the final bill was based on an estimate rather than an actual reading. That surprised me as much as the amount of the bill. I called the customer care center for an explanation. I was told that they do not have enough staff to do readings and that they simply estimate your meters and based on last year's consumption, the might make an adjustment - maybe. Sounds like a bit of a cash grab to me. So much for my house sitting empty, cold and dark for the last month trying to save a buck. We'll see what happens later if they give me an adjustment.
we were overcharged at our business location ended up with a $12,000 bill for one month service, apparently. So i called and they said they were going ot look into the Atco side for the last meter reading. This was in May. I have called monthly since and still no answer. Also tried calling today....been on hold for 40 minutes now and still have not even spoken to a live agent yet. This is a joke and cant believe people still conduct business this way. Also our 12k was auto withdrawal so now our mom and pop shop is out thousands because they cant communicate properly. What a joke. Once i get through If ever i will be putting in a cancellation of our services as well as a better business bureau investigation to get our money back. do not recommend!!
You will never get a straight answer with this company. Accountability is non existent. This is why more people should invest in energy start ups in order to diversify and break down this monopoly mentality --- ENMAX is not it.
After a night of sheer panic about my water being cut off due to misinformation, I had the great experience this morning of working with Danielle from the water department and Val from the Gas and Hydro call center. Both ladies went ABOVE and BEYOND to help me sort through the error that had occurred with my water bill and get me back to Enmax for Hydro and Gas, where I should have stayed in the 1st place. Danielle helped easy my panic of an extremely high bill and Val did everything in her power to make sure that there are no surprises moving forward. Both ladies deserve a huge kudos.
I moved to Calgary and registered online for Enmax service. I inputted the address an Enmax left off a number I was charged $165 for my bill. I set up preauthorized payment for my bill and this money was taken. My apartment complex reached out to me that I owed $133. I explained that could not be the case as money was taken from my account. It so happened that there was an error with the address. I reached out to Enmax and was told that I would lose my $165 and would still need to pay the $133. How unconscionable can Enmax be? Please stay away from them. They do not care about the customer.
Thanks to the kind, motivated lineman that diagnosed and replaced a loose connection on our electrical service less than two hours after calling. Cheers!
Dealing with Enmax has been an absolute nightmare. In Oct 2021, I called to set up a new account and services with Enmax, all I required was water and waste and recycling. Nov 2021, 1 week before move in I called Enmax and was ensured that services are ready to go and to except a bill in 3 months.. okay great! Fast forward to March 2022, No Bill. Called Enmax, they couldn't find my name or account or any services to my name. When I asked how much is owing they couldn't tell me as I wasn't the homeowner. I have all the paperwork that says I am. Meanwhile, I was being contacted by my builders lawyer to settle a bill close to $800! I don't have $800 I can pull out of thin air. After taking a survey over the phone someone reached out to me and apologized and they would make sure I would get a bill by the end of April. They also said they wound give me $50 credit for the inconvenience they have caused.. that never happened. I told them they have no idea how much stress or financial strain they are putting on someone. I was told many times I will not be charged any late fees for the balance owing but clearly I don't trust or believe them. My last and final call they were FINALLY able to produce the bills I needed in order to pay them. Conclusion: anyone I spoke to was very professional and I had zero issues with the individuals, It would been better if my situation got escalated faster and didn't have to waste my time calling for almost 3 months to get it resolved. If there was another company the City of Calgary also used I would have cut all services and gone to them. I am so glad my Gas and Electric is not with Enmax as they appear to be incompetent. I do question if I never called, would Enmax ever send me a bill?
After years of denying the feckless direct energy employees harrasing me at wal mart we do not have power at a direct cost to ourselves pro rated refund?.
