I had a great experience. They got lockers inside for your personal belongings like phone, watch etc but that being said only bring the required items it will make your security screening process lot more easier.
US passport renewal. If you thoroughly read and follow the directives on the passport information packet the process is 10 minutes. Make an appointment though. Do not bring electronics or bags, it makes going through security easier. Everyone was incredibly friendly.
Overall, my experience was good. The embassy officers were polite, professional, and helpful during the interview process. However, I was disappointed with the behavior of one female security officer. When I tried to ask a simple question at the entrance, she did not listen to me and rudely told me to get in line. She should know how to behave professionally and treat people with respect. Apart from this issue, my experience at the embassy was positive
Interview is fast, It was a cold winter and I thought I will freeze outside for a long time but I only line up for about 10 minutes for my 8 am interview. I came here knowing my tourist visa will be declined, turns out not. Thank you!
My personal experience: we were stuck in a bad snowy weather, and had to wait in the line outside the embassy for about 1.5 hours. With snow falling on our face and winds gusting while we had to wait for our turn to go through security and appointment time. The security guard outside was kind ans staff inside was kind and everything went smooth but just hoped they took better care of people standing outside.
