My Dad was interred at Elmwood Cemetery in 1998, almost 20 years ago. Until last year (2016), my family was happy with the care that was taken with groundskeeping (perpetual care). Last summer, the area around my Dad's grave became devoid of all grass and since has been alternately a sea of dried earth, mud and weeds. The contacts for Elmwood cemetery have told me that they have reseeded both last year and this. However, as is obvious from the attached photo, this is not working. I suggested resodding, but apparently this will not be considered by the cemetery board. I find this situation disrespectful, not just to the memory of my father, but to all that are interred in this area. This is certainly not the perpetual care that families expect for the final resting places of loved ones.
