First time ordering here and I love them all! I don't know why I was expecting the croissants to be smaller and cream puffs to be bigger. However, they are not stingy at all with the fillings! Rich and creamy with great balance of flavours. The doughs are both fluffy and flaky. Definitely will be ordering again.
Upon joining their social media following in the last two months seeing their store slowly open up, it is incredibly difficult to be disappointed. I had purchased a box of mixed cream puffs, croissants and a pastry or two and they were all incredible. Elmo and their staff are also very knowledgeable and kind which helped a lot in my decision making! Their prices are similar if not, a little cheaper than other gourmet croissants in the Vancouver area however the attention to detail and quality in Elmo’s baked goods are unmatched. Will definitely be coming again and hope to try all their offerings. Can’t wait to see what’s next for this business!
I really like the croissants here. The look and taste are something I like to treat my friends and family to as well. Only minus one star because I ordered 4 boxes here and with spending $80+, wish there was at least an offer to help me bring it to my car right outside or even hold the door open so I don't drop the boxes. Not really much customer service, but good treats.
That Elmo laminates a fine dough. Some of the best croissants I’ve ever had. Creative flavors, flawless beautiful presentation. Bought 4 croissants, a pecan pie croissant, 2 ham & cheese and a cookies & cream puff. Love having this so close to home. Excited to try their coffee etc and other flavors over time. Staff inside were welcoming and friendly. What a great addition to port moody!
Delicious pastry, great marketing, clean environment and professional service. I have been following Elmo Bakery for a while and have purchased their pastries a few times. The experience has always been great and satisfying. Definitely recommend them!
Croissants the way they should be. This place now ranks in my favourite places in the Vancouver area for croissants — and the best in Tri-Cities! I’ve been having a hard time finding a good bakery in the area Their croissants are tasty, fluffy on the inside and flaky on the outside. I like that they have a distinctive selection of 2XBaked croissants such as Ube, Pecan Pie, and Pistachio Sour Cherry. Their 2XBaked Ube croissant was delicious! For sure, $7.25 is a steep price for a croissant. As for the pains au chocolat, I often find them overwhelming sweet — it wasn’t the case this time. The sweetness of the hazelnut marzipan and the bitterness of the dark chocolate were well balanced. I can’t wait to go back and try their other croissants and cream puffs! :
Elmo has the magic touch when it comes to croissants! I had the privilege of trying these amazing creations with my family and even shared a few with neighbours. The buttery layers were so beautiful and tasted great. My absolute favourite was the dark chocolate raspberry cream croissant. The sesame, matcha, cafe and the special red one made in celebration of the lunar new year were all so flavourful. Every croissant was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Be sure to order early to get your flavour choices. I am looking forward to trying the other flavours in an upcoming visit. Thanks Elmo!
I had the matcha cream puff and their croissants. Beautifully crafted, they looked way too good to eat. Matcha by far is my favorite, has a excellent blend of bitter bite expected of matcha, but well balanced with sugar that it was overall very pleasant and not overpowering.
Stopped by this new bakery in the area and they were already sold out of different items by early afternoon, so I picked up what few choices they had left which was oh-so-YUM. Beautiful, flaky and decadent croissants that are big. What more can you ask for?
Fantastic pastry specialty shop. Glad that they are only focusing on pastries, and not other baked goods. Tried their regular croissant, pain au chocolat, and ham and cheese croissant. The regular and chocolat croissants were so flakie and delicate, I was afraid I'd crush them while holding them. The inside was fluffy, airy, and with a little bit of chew that provided a great contrast of texture. The ham and Cheese croissant was much denser and much heartier in comparison. I enjoyed it as a light lunch. Update: second-day pastry reheats well with the instructions they provided, and it's as fresh as first-day. The ube twice baked croissant has a layer of creamy ube filling that makes it quite decaden. But I think my favourite is their Everything croissant. There are bits of salt and garlic flakes that give it a subtle punch of flavour and really accentuate the butter. It's a must try.
