Stopped her for the first time. We got her on a Saturday night at 6:30. It was definitely busy. You can't wait inside to be seated you have to stand outside with the rest of the people also waiting to get in. Then they come out and get you. It was busy to expect the wait to be long. I noticed for the people waiting the longest they gave out pieces of cake as a kind gesture. We did wait over an hour for our food for a party of 4. They did bring us a slice of red velvet cake, which was nice! The food wasn't bad, it was diner food with a flare. They take the extra step and elevate the dish by adding sauces to the syringe. I also saw some pretty insane pancake dishes as well...I don't think my teeth would appreciate that but people sure enjoyed it. We ordered the following...hot honey chicken burger, California ranch wrap, Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese wrap, kids Spaghetti and meatballs. A round of water and two regular milkshakes. We didn't have room for the giant ones. And yes they are completely massive!!
It was EXTREMELY busy. That's a good sign. We waited in line for about 20 mins before being seated. The waiters came over immediately to take our order. They don't have a wide variety of beverages on the menu, but the food takes up for it. Plenty of options. Although I would recommend adding photos to your menu because not everyone has social media and it's convenient to have it right in front of you. The food was DEFINITELY worth the wait. Very flavorful, and fresh. We had to get to-go boxes because the portion sizes were huge. I am returning for sure! Parking: No parking for large buses or trucks on site.
Love that this diner takes crazy combinations and junk food glamour to their menu. Their social media is carefully curated to showcase their amazingly yummy and colorful concoctions that make for a great share or reason to stop on the way to NYC. Candy coated waffle tower? You got it!! As a vegan I had one menu option, so there's a challenge I'd love to see the chef undertake! More veg friendly options.... But the Hubby was in heaven with his breakfast chicken pancake tacos. This is a great try!
After hearing great reports of Elm Street Diner, I decided that it was time to finally dine here. This was my first time dining at the establishment! Upon arrival, the parking lot located in the back of the restaurant was already filled. On a weekend, I would advise people to be ready to wait to be seated. People typically wait for a table by these stairs shown in one of my photos. My party waited 40 minutes before being seated. The restaurant was clean and offered a wonderful ambiance! My party and I ordered the avocado toast, farmer's omelet, portobello omelet, and the chicken lemon soup. The food was so delicious! If you are going to Elm Street Diner on a Sunday they are only open until 2 PM!, the kitchen closes at 1:30 PM. Thankfully, people who were seated shortly after us were able to place their orders before this time. Would recommend when in the Stamford area!
I kinda got here a little close to closing time. However I wasn't able to indulge in the milkshake with all the fixings. Other than that, the food was very good and I mean very good here. All of the food had great presentation. I would strongly recommend dining here if u haven't already. Worth every penny in my opinion.
My first time visiting Elm Street Diner. After reaching the diner couldn't find the parking entrance, we had to circle around to find the parking on another street in the back. The restaurant is beautiful, clean and great atmosphere. I took my daughter here for her birthday, the food was delicious , burgers looked juicy, I had both fry chicken and gyro. The fry chicken was well seasoned and crispy, my gyro was great. There were so many great things on the menu. Our waiter was very friendly and polite, everyone was so nice. Even though we got to the restaurant one hour before closing they took our order a party of 7 ppl, and was patience with us while we eat we didn't feel rushed at all.
A very nice diner, really liked the decor and seating. We ordered and our food came out quick. Can definitely share the plate. My sister enjoyed her short rib burrito and my Mac and cheese burger was perfect. We shared the Buffalo chicken Mac and Cheese fries. Those were so good.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
This place was recommended by a friend. And it was a solid recommendation. The food is excellent. Every plate that I saw served to other patrons looked phenomenal. I had the Chicken Waffle Benedict, which was absolutely delicious. Clean dining area. The staff were super friendly as well. I would eat here again because there were so many different dishes on the menu that I would like to try.
Absolutely incredible food. Words won’t even do it justice. Their desserts are absolutely wild but their savory dishes are prepared with just as much love.
After following them on insta, I had to see what the hype was all about and boy did it not disappoint. We were on our way to Pennsylvania so what a perfect time to go by the shoreline of Connecticut. My son doesn't have Instagram so he didn't know what a treat he was about to receive. Since I am a car girl I like to point out that they did have a nice private paved parking lot with plenty of parking. My son ordered red velvet Oreo pancakes. They came with a stack of pancakes a slice of fresh red velvet cake and crushed Oreos throughout the layers!!! He also ordered just a regular chocolate shake. Myself I ordered short rib mac and cheese super melt. I will have to say though the fries are very basic compared to everything else in the diner they were just a little disappointing. But then again you're not going to the diner for fries. I also ordered a crazy Shake which was a birthday cake flavored. It was fully loaded like a Chevy Suburban high country with things like Twinkies cupcakes candy lollipops ice cream pop. So please bring your appetites and friends and family you will need all of them to complete everything that you order. Definitely will be coming back on any kind of road trip that takes me that way.
