Brunch Review: They used to have the best Sunday Brunch ever. Now it barely passes for a good truck stop breakfast. They used to have a crepe station, and a waffle station. The waffles you have to make yourself and it’s incredibly dirty, messy & unappetizing. They used to have smoked salmon and mussels. Now all they have is warm shrimp. They used to have a great spread of cheeses and crackers I specifically liked the Brie. When I went there was one piece of marble cheddar left that looked extremely unappealing. They also used to have pastries but had only croissants when we went, where did all the food go? Our server was also extremely rude and never brought us the mimosas we asked for. We also weren’t given coffee top ups because our server was never around. She stuck up her nose to us as if we weren’t worthy of eating there meanwhile it felt like we were picking through leftovers and trash for breakfast. $100- complete waste of money. Would recommend going to the Delta Armouries for brunch instead- they have so many stations, varieties and way better service for the same price.
Absolutely gorgeous. We had a very enjoyable stay. Very clean and well kept rooms and public areas. Terrific staff and service. Our room was located near the spa, so we could smell some of the calming aromas in the hallways which only added to the tranquil ambience of this beautiful place designed for relaxation and restoration. I cannot wait to return again next year!
Just a 2 star sadly this time. I’ve stayed here over 10 times because it’s a reasonable drive, great food, and service, but it’s been slipping the last couple times while the price is increasing. So much for relaxing in the morning when last call is 0930 for breakfast. It used to be later. Good room, clean spot, but the last couple times and especially this time, the staff seem very unhappy. The older woman in the dining room with short, black hair is downright miserable and should retire from working in hospitality. This is not her calling. This isn’t the first time she’s been rude and muttering comments that are uncalled for. Her sour mood seems continuous. We asked for water at breakfast and that was a huge issue. Looking at a menu was an issue. Getting food was an issue. Why would I spend money to eat here when a server/supervisor acts like everyone is an inconvenience to her? Check in and check out really wasn’t much different. I don’t expect a parade, but again, if you want to be miserable, don’t work in hospitality. You need to do better Elmhurst.
We had reservations for dinner and were seated in the Prince Charles room upstairs. Our waitress Jaclyn was super friendly and very attentive!!! Fine dining at its best with generous portions and beautiful presentation. Kudos to Chef Tan and his team for tantalizing the tastebuds and creating all of our meals to perfection! I love going to this Inn. I was at a quilting retreat in the grand ballroom at Elmhurst for 2.5 days. I paid for a room to myself and had a king-sized bed. The mattress was comfortable, the room clean. The food was good but this time we had almost the same thing every day and for lunch and dinner with just the meat changing. I don't know whether this was our organizer's choice or the hotel's menu. The service was great -they treated us very well. A few spring bulbs were very pretty. It would be nice to come later in the spring when the fountains are running.
This was our first time at the Elm Hurst Inn and Spa and we came for dinner. It was our anniversary and my fiancé could not have picked a better spot for us to celebrate our special day. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and our server Ashley was really lovely. Ashley was super friendly and very attentive. The entire team is very friendly and welcoming. Michael and I look forward to coming back to the Elm Hurst Inn and Spa for many years to come. A perfect place for a special evening.
All the staff at Elm Hurst were extremely helpful and understanding! We had to postpone our wedding twice and they made it so easy to change our dates and make sure that everything stayed the same. Leading up to the day Lesley was in constant contact with me and always able to answer any questions I had. The day of went so perfectly I couldn't have asked for anything better! The staff at Elm Hurst really took all the stress off and allowed me to enjoy the day! Not to mentioned the food was amazing!!! Elm Hurst really does it all for you and I am so thankful to them for making our wedding day the best day of my life!
We were looking for a spa getaway and we found it. Close to home, very well located, beautiful building. Spa has am excellent choices of treatments and options. Cozy and welcoming environment. Exceptional customer service. It's not overly priced. The restaurant is amazing. Definitely coming back. Food & drinks: Food and drinks were fenomenal. We chose the chef's choice and thought the pricing, selection, and portion size were outstanding. Prime rib definitely a prime! The mousse cake was absolutely delicious 10 out of 10
We had car trouble on our trip home from Toronto. Elm Hurst was a port in the storm. So greatful that everything was on the property. Dinner was great with nice choices for every palette. The beds were wonderful. We has an excellent night's sleep, and breakfast was more than we could have expected. I found my daily blueberries.Rooms: 5/5
We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday. Despite the bad weather, I liked everything: a wonderful dinner, delicious food, caring staff, a good room, a nice garden and the very architecture of the buildings. We will definitely come here again.Rooms: 5/5
