I was able to visit the lodge for the first time with family and friends this last July. In all respects I have nothing but good things to say. The owner was on site, approachable and worked hard to make the experience special. I went up for big pike on the fly and the chance to catch the fabled God's River brook trout. I was not disappointed in either case. My biggest pike was 44" and our group caught four trophy brookies in a day on the river. (Folks should know that the brook trout experience is an add-on, fly out trip from the camp, but the extra cost is very reasonable.) Our guides were experienced on both the lake and the river. Overall, I think the most fun was sight fishing for pike on the fly. We fished shallow bays, casting to cruising pike. I could have just done that for the whole trip. While we didn't spend much time at it, we also caught some lovely lake trout and walleye. Food, accommodation and the guide service were all excellent. Suffice to say that you will be well tended. Thanks Greg and kudos to your staff!

My family has been visiting Elk Island Lodge for many years. The repeat experience never fails to impress!! From the awesome food and appetizers, outstanding service from both the guides and the lodge staff, world class fishing and their willingness to accommodate any reasonable request, hands down, this place stands at the top of their industry!! 5 stars for what has definitely created lifelong memories I will always cherish.
