Fantastic. The food was prepared fresh. Kimberly was our server and she did an a great job, my water glass never went below half. Everything tasted great and the margaritas flight was delicious. As my wife said, this is the type of place that was needed here. I would, and will comeback.
Delicious! The space is amazing. We sat at the bar & the bartender was nice and attentive, the food came out promptly. The hostess was also very nice. For the reviews saying this isn’t authentic Mexican food - that’s not what they’re going for. It’s unique & exactly as described on the menu. Drinks were good, too. It’s not the cheapest & the portions aren’t the biggest, but we had a lunch for two with cocktails for $50, which we thought was reasonable given the location and quality of food. Definitely check out the upstairs, or sit there if you can - I would go back just to marvel at the decor again.
Nachos were layered to perfection my biggest pet peeve about ordering them out. The decor was beautiful and the chimichanga was great. The service was super slow, waiting for even napkins was a process or I would have rated this higher. A lot of staff but nothing seemed to be moving. After eating here for the first time it was by far one of the best dining experiences we have had in Skaneatles! The food and service were top quality! We ordered the shrimp tacos, and verde chicken enchiladas. Both meals were prepared quickly and could not have been better! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone and will certainly be coming back again!
Tried Elephant and The Dove on their special Monday taco and margarita deal. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! My wife and I will certainly be back as often as we can. We found the service was friendly and the atmosphere was great. Very well decorated. The margaritas were very good especially for $5 and the tacos were delicious $2 each. You seriously can't beat what you get for the money. Highly recommended.
Absolutely phenomenal. We were greeted by warm and friendly staff and were seated immediately upon arrival. The decor is sumptuous and immaculate, incredibly stylish. The food was crazy delicious. This establishment is a gem here in the Finger Lakes. One of the best restaurant experiences of my life. We are already counting down until we can visit again.
Love the atmosphere! Great early Friday evening meal. I had the burrito bowl with chicken. Especially loved the chicken. The flavor was mild but all good ingredients. We loved the Mexican corn and the churros sundae which is more than two people can eat. Mikayla, our waitress was top notch. Her recommendations were spot on. She’s attentive and just really professional. It’s not a five review because I need a bit more spices/flavor.
For dinner, I had the California Burrito, and I had it with the impossible meat, and it was really good. The pickles on top were a nice touch! It is basically a big Mac burrito! The fries inside were also an added bonus. I also had a margarita, and it was good. My family enjoyed their meals too. The biggest issue was the slowness of the food and drinks. It took forever to get our food. The couple next to us had their four course meal before we got our entre, and then a bigger group behind us got their food much faster than we did. It took a while to get the drinks too, even when the second round was just beer. Also unlike other Mexican restaurants, there was no chip refill. The kids chicken tenders did not come with French fries, and the burritos did not come with rice. It's the little things that count! I would go back though, I really want to try the bang bang shrimp tacos.
We went to E&D on a rainy vacation day and had the BEST time! We were placed in the cozy corner in the front window. The chips and salsa were delicious. We had a few different cocktails, margs and palomas that were all excellent. I loved the white elephant. For our meals we chose a carnitas burrito, bang bang shrimp tacos, chicken fajita tacos and chipotle chicken quesadilla. Everyone loved their meals and took part home! We wrapped it up with the yummy churro sundae and another marg. :
The very best restaurant I've been to in a long time. Food was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is located in the quaint town of Skaneateles, NY and located on the lake worth a visit on it's own. Food portions were abundant. I had the shrimp tacos pictured. Unbelievebly delicious. The sauce was out of this world. Just enough sweet to tang. As an appetizer we ordered guacamole, queso and salsa trio. Words cannot describe how utterly delicious they were. Ordered the house drink called the "dove". You can't pass on this drink when you go. Then came desert also pictured. We ordered the Churro Sundae. Words cannot express how scrumptious this was. Atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was so comfortable and inviting. Don't miss going to this place. !!
