Our experience with Pathfinder Project Services and our Installer - Luke was exceptional - we are very satisfied customers.nWe were kept informed of every step of the Generac install process and the work was completed quickly and efficiently. Luke, our installer is friendly, professional and extremely knowledgable, his work demonstrated a pride in the profession. I would be happy to recommend this company to others.
We have been thinking of a whole home generator for years especially as we are snowbirds and want to ensure the safety of our home through the cold Canadian winters. This fall we finally decided to investigate the costs involved, generator sizing requirements and our options for a dealer. We called Luke at Pathfinder Services to get a general feel for the answers to those questions and are very happy we did so. Luke was friendly, very knowledgeable and ultra responsive, something that is not always present in today's service industry. He investigated our needs and came up with several options for us to choose from. After settling on the generator size best for our wants the next question was how long to install start to finish. Luke gave us a very reasonable timeline which fit very well within our planned departure date for the winter. The whole process form start to finish exceeded our expectations significantly. Luke looked after everything, permits, gas fitter and sourcing the harder to find parts for our 400 amp service quickly. He arrived when he said he would and finished the same way. The install is clean and professionally done from top to bottom. If you are thinking of a Generac product in the North Okanagan/Shuswap area we cannot express highly enough our recommendation for Luke at Pathfinder.
This review is for Luke at Pathfinder Project Services for our new-construction build.nnThe planning process, work and installation was excellent, timely and on budget. My wife and I are very please with the capabilities and capacity of the Generac unit that we have and we saw this demonstrated much earlier than anticipated keep reading. Thus I would not hesitate to recommend Luke!! Our experience with him and Pathfinder Project Services goes something like this....nnWhen planing our retirement dream home that was to be built on 4 acres just outside Vernon BC, we knew right away that having a dependable back-up generator system that would automatically and seamlessly fill the power void was really important!!nnI grew up on an acreage and there were times when no matter how hard the utility company tried we simply lost power, and many times we were unsure how long that power outage would last. So having your own generator prevented loss of time and productivity. However maintaining gas/fuel storage for a generator could be quite a pain as it took planning and effort.nnWhen I mentioned our desire for a back-up generator to our builder, Luke at Pathfinder Project Services was our first call!! During our first communications Luke was able to translate my “not-so-technical” Back-up Generator expectations into a plan of what would be required and how the generator could be integrated into our proposed electrical system. Further he was able to address my concerns about fuel storage by suggesting that our generator be powered by natural gas!nnLuke’s experience as a journey man electrician gave him the ability to express the fairly complex and technical aspects of the plan in layman’s term. This was key to giving both my wife and I confidence in this aspect of our project as well as an understanding of the “value added” to our home!! We had a realistic and affordable plan hammered out in short order and Luke was able to implement it with out issue!!nnSo lets now fast forward to the end of the construction process. Due to some circumstance that BC Hydro has been unable to adequately explain, there was no power at the conclusion of construction. Further it’s mid to late October 2023 and its getting cold!! Fortus finally arrived and we were able to get natural gas. We were anxious to move into our new home, and prevent anything from freezing. Luke stepped up with a plan were we would use our generator to give us enough home functionality to live comfortably and protect our new home!!nnI wold hate to think what would have happened had we not added a quality Genorac back-up generator and Lukes expertise to our build!!nnSo again I would not hesitate to recommend Luke and Pathfinder Project Services.nnThank you for taking the time to read my review.nnRegardsnnAbH
We had three companies from Vernon come to look at our house and give us estimates for installing a backup generator system. Although Luke’s estimate was not the cheapest, we still went with him because it was clear that he knew his stuff and he really cared about and making addressing our needs and not exceeding our budget. The estimators from the other two companies were not able to answer all of our questions like Luke could, and they seemed much more interested in upselling us into larger, more expensive generators, and selling us add-on items that we were not really interested in. Additionally, they were only willing to give us prices on installing the generator and transfer switch ie, the electrical stuff. It was up to us to find a gas fitter, a drywaller to fix the section of the wall that had to come down for the transfer switch to fit in beside the electrical panel, and a landscaper to remove and then replace the gravel and lawn were the gas and electrical lines had to be buried. In contrast, Luke’s estimate included all of these plus a painter to repaint after the drywall got repaired!. Basically, Luke took care of everything, something that we as seniors find invaluable. In the end, the job went smoothly, and we cannot recommend him enough. Thank you, Luke.
