Nice low key option for apple picking in the valley without all the expensive extras. They still have plenty of honeycrisp on the trees for $2/lb if you get more than 10lbs. You can also drive your car right up to the row which is nice because they are at least a kilometre up from the storefront. Port-a-potties on site, no full washroom facilities. There is a playground and sand pit that the kids enjoyed.
You-pick: Where people, like me, with insufficient garden space, can enjoy the garden and the harvest! Just stop in at the farm market and the wonderful staff will direct you! The gooseberries are amazing! Remember to squat and/or lift branches if you want to find more! Super excited for blackberry season!
Amazing orchard - its huge. Lots of Mac, Red Paula, Honey Crisp. Small bakery & veggie stand inside. Tried the homemade white bread and it was heaven! Had some pumpkins - mostly small, pie pumpkins. Average prices, similar in the area!
This review is for pies and customer service from Facebook messages. I bought a blueberry pie and it was full of solid sugar in multiple places and we were not able to eat it. I wrote to them to tell them and also suggest that the other pies thar were from that day should be checked but they still haven't responded.
Best place to pick cherries! Went two weeks ago. Perfect time! Soo sweet cherries.. they also have great baked breads, scones and yummy ice cream cakes!! Loved my visit!
Haven't made a updated review in 2 years. We were here a few days ago to pick cherries. Sadly we arrived a little bit too late to be able to get the easy Cherry pickings but thankfully they had a ladder and we were able to get up to the higher parts of the tree where everybody else pretty much ignored. The cherries were nice and red. They were very delicious and reasonably inexpensive. They were about $5 a box when we were there and comparable to the local grocery store, it's actually cheaper, much cheaper to buy cherries here than it is in the grocery store
I usually love coming here but was a bit in between seasons this time. We went for Nectarines and Plums. We had fun picking although we walked forever and could not find the Nectarines. Not much signage there. But we picked Pears instead. Port a potty on site which was so nice to have for the kids. Also a great play area and picnic tables around close to waxltch kids. I like picking apples better. We will be black in a month's time.
One of the best honey crisp in NS! The staff is friendly and won't barge in your apple picking. Just grab an apple bag they offer and walk into the apple rows. BTW, their bakery offers freshly baked loaves and scones which are something I've never tasted anywhere in NS.
This is definitely robbery. Two bags for $115. The stuff was rude as hell when we doubted the price. Will never come back. Never recommended.
Great place to stop for fresh fruit but we did not like their baking. There was no taste of peanut butter in their Peanut Butter Cookies and the Date Squares had large chunks of unmixed date throughout them.
