Elbow Springs Golf Club

Course was good, well maintained. Very disappointed that I paid for 18 holes and we were paired with two strangers, on hole six we were told to keep up with the people in front of us, it’s seems they overbooked the course and my intimate day with my employee that was supposed to be strategic was quite unproductive and we didn't accomplish much. Being from Scotland, this overbooking at the expense of the clients experience would never happen.

Setup was a bit confusing on where to go out of the gate. Like where to checkin to tee off. But once on the track it was a nice course. Intermediate and experience golfer had a good time, classic

Definitely one of my top choices to play golf in Calgary. Great deal for early play, 9 for $50 w/cart & breakfast. The course also always seems to be in great shape. Being friendly doesn’t seem high on the priorities of the pro shop staff though. Not bad service but I wouldn’t say they seem very welcoming.

I am not a great golfer and this course was a challenge. The scenery is beautiful and the course is excellently maintained. Lots of amenities and a very professional and kind staff.

Prestine course with challenging holes. However the customer service here needs work if they want to be a 5-star facility. Showing up earlier than 830? No coffee, and now way to get water or food. For a 7:30 launch, the beverage cart was not around until the 18th hole. They also had no water cart, which for such an exclusive course is pretty amazing. Even blue devil offers this service. When I mentioned this to the pro shop staff, they were completely indifferent to even the suggestions. Overall, for the price, there are other courses that are just as nice, with way way better amenities and customer service.

Golfed on Friday afternoon with a few friends from Edmonton. Our tee time was 1:52, we showed up on time to start but we’re immediately heckled by the pro shop staff saying we should have already been on the tee box 5 minutes ago. We ended up teeing off on time with no issues. By the time we hit the second hole we were already waiting on the group ahead of us. Fast forward to the turn. We got off the ninth hole and the starters immediately started telling us we were 15 minutes behind and we needed to go and tee off right now. The group ahead of us only played nine holes but the starters seemed to think the fact we had an open hole ahead of us meant we were slow. I had purchased a golf glove at the start of the round but accidentally grabbed the wrong hand so I was running into the pro shop to exchange it quickly. When I came out they were still yelling at one of the guys in our group. We didn’t even get to grab a bottle of water because these guys were rushing us so much. So we tee off and start the back nine. By the time we were on the 11th tee box we were waiting for the WALKING group ahead of us. No one behind us and a walking group ahead yet we were pushed and rushed by the starters. Unreal. You charge a premium price and provided a very poor golf experience. If you’re worried about pace you need to have a Marshall on the course. I will not be back and I will not recommend this course to any of my peers. It’s a shame too because the course was in great shape and was quite fun.

Golfed the elbow springs 9 on Sunday Sept 4th in the morning as a foursome. Course was in GREAT shape. Pace of play was decent. Discouraged by the amount of unrepaired ball marks on the greens for such a prestige course/you think the people who golf there and pay the $ would have more etiquette. Only 4 stars because the price is too high and our breakfast server seemed to lack friendliness/communication skills, it seemed like she didn't want to be there.

Great course but club house service for food is disappointing. After finishing a game of golf you what to chill and have a nice time. Our drinks came 15mins after we ordered. Upon asking, our server was having troubles with the cork which was ok but it was very upsetting that our food didn’t arrive for an hour. When I followed up, it was still taking time. Reason being “it’s backed up in the kitchen” in reality the club house was dead. What triggered the most was that our server didn’t even come apologize. That’s the least one could do. So we walked out hungry with my children. Very upsetting.

Decent golf course!!

The 3 nine hole courses are in great shape. The halfway houses are open with friendly staff and good sandwiches and snacks. Only draw back is matted driving range.
