El Vaquero Restaurant

I love this place! The owner and her staff are all so friendly! It's always clean and smells wonderful! The food here is authentic and beautifully presented. So yummy!

I took my family to El Vaquero on (2) two separate events for dinner and had different experiences on each visit. The first time, my wife and I ordered both the beef and chicken fajita meals. They were OUTSTANDING!!! The second time, we ordered the same thing because it was amazing. This time, we did not have the same experience. Both of our fajita dishes did not have any green, red, or orange bell peppers, but it did have an abundance of onions & mushrooms. Personally, I had never had mushrooms in fajitas before and needless to say, I did not enjoy it. Both the chicken and beef were cooked very well and was tasty, as was the rest of the dish. I called the waitress (I believe she is also the owner) and inquired and she said they were out of bell peppers. I told her the rest of the meal was awesome. If you are looking for some really good Mexican food, you should give El Vaquero a visit. The price may seem a little steep until you get your dish! JD Stewart, Ed.S., M.Ed. Blackfoot, ID

The website caused me to have greater expectations than what I experienced. I would have to rate the food as average, nothing to rave about. The staff was friendly, but not quick to refill drinks. Waited for check, only to be told that it would be rung up at the register. This visit gave me no real reason to return.

The food is always good and the price is very reasonable but the service can be hit or miss. Authentic Mexican flavor, ( try the Chili Colorado), and a great variety.

Excellent, authentic Mexican food! And the prices on food & beer can't be beat. Only here for 2 nights, but will probably go back tomorrow & try another one of their specialties.
