Went in to give this place a try, the service was really great, they seemed really nice but unfortunately the food was rather bland. The pork was very watery and had no taste, I had to dump hot sauce on my burrito to give it more of a flavor. I tried the chicken fajitas my wife ordered and they were a little more tasty but all in all sadly my much cheaper visit to taco bell the week before was more delicious. I really wanted to like this place since we live so close by.
The food is the reason you go to a restaurant. It's not bad food here, it's just not great. My fajitas had some of the thinnest strips of tough meat I've ever eaten. The flavor was good though and the corn tortillas were fresh and tasty. My kids nachos were burnt...black tips of the chips. They didn't complain and ate it anyway, then had an upset stomach afterwards.
This is a five star paragraph about how this place is the best if you don't have time don't read is To start off the food was good but when you combine them example. beans and rice or Avalcodo and salsa theres millions of combinations to try but when you do its flavor spikes to its peak. Second of all service was good very lively people but I was not given a menu so that made me passed but I think they might have been thinking im a kid I mean I am 11 I'm on my moms phone so I respect that I have to. Third and final this is short I'm leavingatmosphere is how can I say this LOUD many people I'm leaving by this is sponsored by gramercy jk by love this place.
Our food and service was wonderful! For once I had the Cameron's and my shrimp was very tender, juicy and full of flavor and not rubbery. Here is the Burro Burrito Alabama Slammer and Electric Watermelon Drink
What a pleasant surprise. I would give 10 stars if I could. A lovely family owned with great food! Great job
Honesty, I am not sure how this place stays open. I guess lack of choices help. The food was watery with very bland flavors. Have you ever had a microwave dinner? This is the quality you can expect. If they want to make it in this growing town they need to pivot and start doing everything different.
Staff is very friendly, service great, prices very reasonable, on road parking available. Handicap friendly, children welcome. Kid-friendliness: Every time I've been in there there's been children Wheelchair accessibility: My father-in-law uses a walker but there's room for a wheelchair.
Food was close to a 5, would have been if enchiladas suiza had more tomatillo sauce. Love the casual traditional Mexican atmosphere. Will definitely be back.Food: 4/5
Always feel like you are part of the family here. They also have amazing Tacos Al Carbon which is my go to Vegetarian options: I have had their veggie stir fry which is amazing and great for me who is trying to avoid meat. They also offer corn tortillas which is good for me avoiding gluten Kid-friendliness: Very friendly atmosphere and lots of kid options
Put aside the outside appearance. El Rancho Viejo, has always treated me with a warm friendly smile. I love the food, this is a favorite place for me.
