Never been here before, but the staff was super helpful in my decision on what to order. I was gonna do all greens but decided to do half rice! I thought because they just opened that everything would be super fresh, but that wasn’t the case. Don’t get me wrong, it was delicious, but the chicken was cold. How is fresh rotisserie chicken cold?? Anyways, you get a two out of five, plus I watched my bowl sit on the counter for 5 mins before someone put a top on it and handed it to me! SMH… it was $14 dollars for that little bowl.
Fantastic tacos! They use rotisserie chicken in their tacos and it’s damn good! Fried plantains are excellent, too. Fast, friendly service in a clean space. This place is an all-around win!
El Pollo Guapo is a wonderful place to eat with loads of healthy options. Don’t let the name fool you, it’s not just for meat eaters. Veggies and vegans are welcome with many available options to suit their dietary needs. I had the Span-ish Chop Guapo Bowl. It had roasted chickpeas, grilled corn, avocado, pico, pickled onions, and marinated cucumber. It was bursting with flavor and was fantastic! It was very filling without feeling heavy. They offer many unique beers and Connecticut bottled Hosmer Mountain sodas.
Food was really great and tasty. Was able to customize a vegan bowl and I 100% loved. Will definitely be trying it again next week and the week after. Great job guys. Staff was also kind enough to bring our food out to the car.
I’m going to give this place a great review because the owner reached out to me and that is great service! I accidentally rated this place and meant to rate the one in Newington, where we did not have a good experience. We will come to this location in the future to try because I know there is management that cares, so it must get 5 stars!
Overall, quite a delicious chicken place. While a bit pricey, the food is very good and highly flavorful. If they could find a way to cut cost without cutting quality then I'd probably eat here very frequently. I simply can't afford $12-15 a day on lunch.

wow the food is so flavorful! Happened to be in area couple times visiting a client and this has become a go to place for lunch. The service is quick and the food is delicious! I wasn’t too sure about trying veggie tacos, I’m glad I did because they were incredible!

Food was incredibly delicious and fresh. Not overly heavy; well seasoned but not overly salty. We tried the taco combos, rotisserie chicken bowl, sides and house made chips. Everything was so good and superior to similar foods we’ve had in the recent past we live in Philly and lived in NYC before that. Order was correct and ready promptly. Definitely recommend!
