This place was delicious! I tried the Boricuazo which was very good - like a cubano but with crispy chopped bacon along with turkey and ham. The bread was perfect, smashed and crisp. We had some mini mofongo on the side which was tasty, but couldn't finish it all! Very generous portions.Food: 5/5
The monfongo suppose to be a popular dish. The food is savory not sweet at all. The shrimp monfongo is decent portion. The shrimp is regular size. It's still plenty enough to eat. The service was little slow to operate when the restaurant is not even packed. Next time will try the Cuban sandwich.Food: 4/5
This restaurant is small but they have really good food. My favorite part is that they have Christian music playing as well as they also have Bible verses around the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and lovable. Love their frappes and their sandwiches. I recommend 100% you just have to be patient because they do take abit of time to bring the food out.
This establishment is not nice to people that are not their culture. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake frappe & was told that it would take 20 mins to make. I stood outside as I timed the order. They ultimately gave me a drink that didn’t look pretty like as shown in the photo. Their excuse was that I took longer than 20 mins to come and get my order which is impossible because I used their restroom and lingered around. I told them that I no longer want the drink and the lady snatched it out of my hand and said that they will make a new one. All they did was use the same drink I gave them back and put one tiny piece of cheesecake & like two slices of strawberry. I am such an unhappy customer. They need to be more clear about their rules to these drinks. I’m not sure why they made the drink before my sandwich. I’m just such an unhappy customer. I highly will not recommend this establishment to another person!
DO NOT EAT HERE! I ate a Cuban sandwich there a few days ago and got insane FOOD POISONING! I didn’t even have their Dasani water bottle, all I did was eat their food and leave. These people don’t even have a public bathroom for people to wash their hands, they only have nasty smelling hand sanitizer. Don’t bother to come here this place needs to close, it’s disgusting. Also, nobody should ever have to ask “do you want everything on it” for a CUBAN SANDWICH these people had to ask about not putting ketchup and Mayo on a cubano. Nasty.
This restaurant does not know what it wants to be and it shows. Imagine a sports bar without alcohol, decorated with walls painted red white and blur, a mural images of a waterfall and sports memorabilia from random New York and Midwest teams, interspersed with your grandmother 'Be still and know' cheap inspirational artwork and you can start to picture what the inside of this restaurant looks like. Rather than electing to fix its issues with its systems and the layout of the restaurant, including the service counter, seating arrangements and what I assume must be an inefficient kitchen layout, this business displays permanent signs crafted with markers on printer paper. The management of this restaurant expects its costumers to pay fine dining prices for the quality of service and food that could be experienced at a restaurant in a more accessible part of the city. Its unreasonable to charge fine dining prices in an environment that is clearly not being invested in. It is too expensive for its target market and too low-quality for any professional looking for a midweek meal experience. If you are of a different religion that Christian or are a Christian that doesn't want to be proselytized to through the constant playing of spanish pentecostal soft rock, this is not the place for you. Again not sure what the theme is here, Christian sports bar with PR influence? Everything else you read about this restaurant is more than likely true.
AWFUL!!!Im updating the review like Google asked me to.. I went tonight to get a Pina coloda. When I want something sweet I like to go here. Since I have gone many times I can say with out a doubt that I got an AWFUL PINA COLODA TONIGHT. IT'S NEVER BAD,, this was so bad it made my stomach hurt and the consistency wasn't even right.. I can make these at home, but it's something I go get for when I want dessert, and Don't want to make it myself.. I don't know what happened but it was awful . We just were there ate and had a Pina coloda a few weeks ago and everything was good like normal. ‍
I love their sandwiches there really good ! but the drinks look nothing like they do in pictures ! Main thing is the poor customer service , the attitude on one of the older woman is sad I get you might be grumpy smelling like grease all day but you chose this , I’ve watched this lady argue with doordash drivers because they couldn’t have their food done on time & when they choose not to take the food due to their poor customer service & slow service food be all cold & get mad & argue with people who isn’t at fault & it’s sad ! that’s not how you treat people who are legit helping you by delivering you’re food services , & get mad at people who order your food putting money in your pockets , also one of my friends called & asked if she can order two sandwiches & pay the other in person cash & last with the card apparently she couldn’t even if she were to order one which obviously she’d be coming for if she’s putting her order in over the phone why would she sit & wait for another sandwich to be made if she’s already coming for the one paid through the phone makes no sense to sit & wait for another to be made when as long as she paid one of them clearly shows she’s coming for the other , but due to the customer services always being slow ! Why would she sit & wait for the other when she clearly paid atleast for one over the phone ? Make it make sense! Y’all need better customer service , I see nothing but bad reviews hear nothing but negativity food poisoning & all it’s sad ! don’t even have 5 stars & now I see why smh ! Do better ! With y’all customer services that’s all y’all missing !
Terrible. I ordered the mofongo and they didn't have mojo for it. The lady did give me ketchup/mayo and said that's what they had. Needless to say the mofongo was DRY and had no flavor at all. The pork had hair all over, was overcooked and all fat. My coworker had the shrimp and said it was awful. I really wanted to like this place but besides the food it was unreasonably expensive and the menu does NOT have prices?
Awesome pineapple frappe, cuban sandwich was also good. I'm not sure where all these bad reviews are coming from but we didn't experience any racism or bad service.
