Seafood vapor used to be my favorite meal from Cucos. Not anymore. Overcooked and lacking flavor. The wife liked her skinny avocado. $6.50 per bottle of beer is rather strong too.
We had a reservation for a very large group 35 people. We had 1 server all by herself and she was in the weeds. We had to refill our own drinks did not get any extra chips or salsa. We waited a very long time for everything. The food was very good.Food: 5/5
We frequent this restaurant often, and it is always top notch for us. The food is served hot and delicious, the wait staff is always very good, we never have a dry cup, or run out of salsa. The greeting staff is pleasent all the time. I love getting the bloody Mary and they are always so good, the mixed drinks are a good choice. We will continue returning here for the Great food and drink and courteous staff!
My first visit and it definitely won't be my last. The portions were excellent. All the food tasted great. If only I had saved room for dessert! I WILL absolutely be back to have some dessert! The service was quick and everything was above my expectations!Food: 5/5
The quality of food was not worth the price, taco bell has more flavor than this place. Their beef fajita nachos was just unseasoned finely chopped asada with almost no beans on the nachos and came with canned jalapeños that the seeds had absolutely no spice to it just like eating a flimsy bell pepper. Their queso flamado was just embarrassing, they melted the cheese and just threw 2 small spoon full portions of badly seasoned chorizo on top, served on a cast iron skillet that was not pre heated and cheese did not stretch indicating it was sitting good amount of time before it got to us. The bar does not actually know how to make micheladas. I don't have ocd but family did lol and noticed the atmosphere was kind of dim and had alot of light bulbs flashing non stop like they needed to be changed. This restaurant is not actual mexican food, salsa verde didn't have a hint of spice at all. And portions are terrible, 15 pieces of chips on a large nacho plate for $16, how can you charge over a dollar per nacho Upon leaving how are you going to have a double door with only one side unlocked and people leaving and entering at the same time.
The food was spectacular here!! The service was excellent. Brandon was our waiter and he was the best waiter! He was very attentive and we never had to flag him down to ask for anything bc he was on top of it! We got the Paradilla for 2. The fajita was so tender and flavorful. The rice and beans were delicious. My son got the burrito which was also very good. We got the handmade guacamole and it was phenomenal as well! Definitely recommend and will be back!
Been to Los Cucos many times. Been to locations in Houston and Seguin and many times to the old location in College Station. This was my first time at this new location. Been at least 8 or 9 years since I have had pleasure of eating at a Los Cucos restaurant. While I deviated from my "usual" plate, I left VERY happy and very full. We forgot how large the servings are. My wife didn't order a plate deciding to eat a little off everyone else, and we STILL took food home. The green sauce that comes with chips wasn't as addictive as I remember, but it was still good. I ordered the El Suegro plate. Sautéed shrimp with tomatoes, onions and poblano peppers over a bed of rice, a beef fajita taco covered with chile con queso, and refried beans. Was a little spicy, but so flavorful. I had forgotten just how delicious their fajitas are. Probably best I have ever had sorry dad! My daughter ordered the shrimp quesadilla plate and said they were really good. My wife concurred. Youngest ordered kids cheese enchiladas and left nothing! My son ordered the Fajitas Mariachis- beef fajitas, shrimp, and chicken with all the fixings and sides. Sister in law order a combo plate that had an enchilada, chalupa, and flautas. Can't wait to get back!
I would give them all 5 stars, but the weren't playing March Madness college basketball playoffs on any of there 20 TV's! Instead, they were playing soccer and talk shows!Food: 5/5
Wife and I went here in a Monday to use a gift card we received and we were pleasantly surprised. Service was good, food was well cooked, and the drinks were nice and cold. I had a beef quesadilla and she had a the fish tacos with fresh corn tortillas. All if it was good. People around us seemed to be enjoying themselves as well, lots of margaritas on the tables! The food is a bit on the expensive side so expect to pay about $20 per person with drinks.
Always a good time. The food is delicious and best margaritas! The stuffed avocado is amazing.
