The food is good it's just costly. Lately they give you a child portion of beans and rice and unless something has changed they're regular beans not refried beans anymore. An order of nachos $15, All their meal prices have increased significantly. A regular burrito is over $9. You can no longer eat in the restaurant, at least when I was there early evening. Burrito Jalisco is less than a mile away. Prices are better at the quality and amount of food is a better deal.
I ordered a regular size burrito and it was literally the same size as the Jr burrito my daughter ordered. It was full of beans, plenty of folded layered tortilla, meat and pico de gallo, not a grain of rice like most burritos. I wish they would add rice and less beans and actually give the customer what they ordered at the correct size. The street corn was delicious. I still prefer the El famous in Rogers Park
This place been here for 25 years at least. 1.50$ for a teaspoon a sour cream. Do NOT order before they close!!it’s smells like a dirty mop and the steak is like oil from the bottom of a pan! The carrots were charged for and not in bag. Looks like I’m tossing this low grade dog food and hitting portillos! Wth!
If i could leave no stars I wouldn’t I ordered 8 steak tacos and a large though Uber eats my bag came staple I opened the bag and see a baby roach crawling through the bag so please don’t eat here. Talking about they have inspections so where the roach come from? So on April 7, 2023 the manager of the restaurant called me back and threaten me telling me to take the review down or he’s not going to give me my money back and take my refund up with Uber, Lawsuit and I’ll be calling the health department

Every time I want The best burrito HERE I never get disappointed . Yet like everywhere prices go up and the food shrinks . So eat less. Quality is here. Fast service is here.Food: 5/5
Food was just all around excellent. Had that authentic feel to it. I ordered the steak taco dinner. The steak was tender and well seasoned, not chewy or dry. The portions were generous. The employees were very friendly, and the restaurant was clean. 10/10 I will come back again soon.
The meal was overall very good. I had the steak quesadilla meal w/ rice & beans. The steak was juicy and the quesadilla was great when the sides plus guacamole was piled high on top of it. The guacamole and chips were very crispy and the guacamole was the perfect texture, nice and smooth. The only complaint was that the rice was basically flavorless, which is rare for a Mexican restaurant. I added some mixed salt to it and all was good. We are becoming regulars at this place at this point. Very solid meals. Please don’t change your quality like the Portillo’s right next store did.
Best fried fish burrito I've had in Chicagoland. They have a huge menu. Been coming here over 20 years. Awesome food and staff. Always tastes cooked to order. AwesomeFood: 5/5
Came to this location. Ordered food for "here" Not sure why but they didn't give us any plates. Ended up eating on aluminum foil. Food was good. The habanero sauce is pretty spicy and flavorful.
