This was the first time I'd been to El Caporal. The food was really good. I had enchiladas and they were authentic and very good. Portions were generous too. There wasn't hardly anyone in there because of the construction and a parade going on at the same time. The service was amazing and our waitress was friendly and very attentive. The building is old and the restaurant is in need of some updates, but it's still a comfortable little place.
This is one of my family's favorite places in Selah! I would argue and say it's one of the best Mexican restaurants out there after having lived in Texas and Oklahoma for the past 10 years. Great people, great food, and great atmosphere. I cannot recommend them enough!
Hubby and I were passing thru and stopped here about 6pm on a Sat night. We got seated right away they weren't packed. Chips and salsa were good. And we ordered a combination, enchilada and taco. I asked if there tacos were homemade shells and was told they were. However I have a hard time believing they were. Service and food was okay, nothing spectacular. The combinations were $11.95 which is average but that was the lowest on the menu. So I can see where other people have said they're overpriced. the atmosphere is nice yet the bathrooms could use more attention. Overall we were satisfied with the stop, not sure if we'd ever go there again though, mainly because we don't live in the area.
Took my wife out to dinner and had heard great reviews about this place in Selah, we got there it was not that busy and we were seated in 15min. Chips and salsa were ok. Food was also ok. Rice.could of tasted better. Waitresses were very friendly tho. Parking: There's is not a lot of parking, but that might contribute to surrounding businesses.
Table for the 5 of us they have booths for 4 and for 2 as well. Not a busy lunch day for them and we got in quickly. Service was friendly. Large selections on menu. Daily specials. Quick service. All our orders were correct. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Large portions. Clean restrooms. Free angled parking in front. Decorated interior with a Spanish theme. Drawback is the poor lighting.
Fantastic food, reasonable prices, large servings and great prices. Super friendly and accommodating server and hostess as well. I suggest the combination appetizer and any of the enchiladas or burritos!
The quality has just disappeared. Soggy , cold & not much flavor. The staff is very nice. Won't be going backService: 2/5
I love the free tortilla chips and they have the best salsa in town! Service is always friendly and the food piping hot!Food: 4/5
Low end wanna be Mexican food. The staff is less then attentive and the quality of the food is mediocre. They are the worst Mexican food in Selah. Their prices are very high for the quality of food. It usually comes out quick if you go during off hours. I had to ask twice for my side sauce and they brought a big boat of the wrong sauce. I also had to walk my tortillas to the kitchen to get the corn one I ordered and turn in the flour ones the waitress wrongly brought to me. I waited 30 minutes at the end of my meal for boxes. The waitress just stopped coming and checking on me. I ended up walking to the kitchen again and asked for some. I won't be returning. They are just never a good solid experience ever.
This place started going down hill about 6-7yrs ago. The food is terrible now. If I could give 0 stars If I could.
