My wife and I went here for the first time. The waitress was very friendly and on top of her game. I was going to order the red snapper but found out it was too big. Gotta take another person. We ordered the steak and salmon tacos. The steak was cooked to perfection. Super soft meat. And the salmon was also cooked perfect. Not over cooked or undercooked. The margarita was strong with the force! We will be back for that snapper. I hope the wait will be worth it.
I had to come try this place out, it did not disappoint. The Loteria theme is cute. I love the drink menu, I ordered the 1,2,3 Tamarindo, it was excellent if you're a vodka person, this is a must try! The chips and salsa are good. The bean dip is excellent. The corn tortillas are made. The guacamole is incredible. Portions are way oversized. I noticed they use queso cotija on the beans on the main dishes, that took me back that's how my mom made beans for my dad. They brought a salsa, super spicy and the chiles toreados mouth watering
The night we were here the restaurant was short on staff. We waited about 25 minutes for a table but once we were seated our drinks and food came out exceptionally fast. The staff was so friendly and the food is amazing! Will definitely be back!
This is an amazing restaurant. A real hidden gem. We had lunch tacos and chimichanga and just wowzer!
We loved the place. The food was so delicious. Our first time. We did not know what to expect. Everything was so good, the service, the food, and our drinks. Highly recommend. Not your typical meal. We will definitely be back!!!
Had high hopes for this place because I love Tacos Chava and always enjoy any sort of variety offered in this Valley, but I will definitely not be returning. Walking in to the restaurant, 6-8 young men were behind the counter and that's the ONLY reason I assumed they were staff members. One of them eventually looked up and said "Two?" then walked us to a dirty booth, saw it was dirty, and placed us in the one next to it. Handed us a single page double sided menu that I quickly noticed was a lot more expensive compared to other Mexican restaurants in town more South @ Pybus style so I'm trying to convince myself the food will be amazing and worth it. Water cups made of clay pottery were given to us, and mine was never refilled for our entire visit. Chips tasted straight out of a store bought bag, oversalted, served with refried beans and red salsa in shallow clay bowls. Salsa slapped me in the face heatwise, I'll give 'em that--super yummy, as was their guacamole which was obviously made from scratch. My chuck roll tacos looked great but the steak was overdone and chewy. Wish I would've spent the extra couple bucks for shrimp tacos because the camarones mojo de ajo my friend ordered were delicious. Cooked perfectly with lots of garlic. Still thinkin' bout that pile of Applebee's rice pilaf and chopped romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, with 4 orange slices that covered half of her plate though. And the family that was seated at our original dirty booth before it ever got wiped down. Also the off-clock employees sitting next to us that said the N word twice. Not for me :
This restaurant seems to be in the process of finding its own way. The food was a definitely different taste than the normal "American Mexican". It tasted as though it had an emphasis on Jalapeno and spice. Not bad, just not "usual". Service was great, very personable. Food was good, and large portions. Drinks were unique and tasty. I left with the feeling the ownership was new to ownership, as things seemed a bit rough around the edges sign on door saying they were a "work in progress", "temporary" menu as they refine their operation. Overall, I will be back, and wish them the best!
Had dinner at El cantarito last night and let me tell you this place is absolutely delicious! The food had amazing flavor, with big portions. Tanya our waitress was very welcoming & went above and beyond with her service. I will definitely be back!!!!
What a great restaurant and bar! The food is authentic and good, especially the Carne asada! Fresh homemade tortillas with a few different salsas to chose from! The cocktails are amazing and more importantly everyone is super kind and the atmosphere is very family friendly, feels like a homey place for sure
Food: 4/10 2pts-quantity, 2pts-presentation Drinks: 4/10 4pts-Variety Service: 3/10 long wait time, little interaction To begin, expectations are already low but we remain hopeful when it comes to another new Mexican restaurant. The area is saturated and you can pretty much guess the menu before you sit down. Having said this the menu seemed promising so we went for it. We were the ONLY table until about 30 mins after we ordered, and our food still took quite a bit in comparison to similar restaurants. The food was very bland. The quantity was good, but when the food isn’t good that’s almost worse. Because now you have so much more food left over and needless to say we ended up taking home most of it. Some even opted out and just left the dish untouched but for the first few bites. For a restaurant named after a drink, these too fail to meet minimum standards. It’s a new place but with time or proper staffing could improve.
