Lovely local place, good options for food and beer and the service was great thanks Autumn! We always go here when we head up to Onaway. We love their pretzels and beer cheese, fish, and chicken tenders. Onion rings were also some of the best I’ve had.
My family took my husband and I out for dinner and it was fantastic. My Uncle's a regular so the conversation was awesome with the server and bartender. They answered all questions, brought out everything quickly, even gave us extra items when we asked. The food was great!! I had about half my order leftover and was able to take it home. The server even gave me extra sour cream for my leftovers! Overall it was a really great location for dinner. The only negatives, the customers were a bit loud for me and my husband, however my family was being loud too so I couldn't really complain in company. The bathrooms. They are so extremely tiny!! I could barely get into the stall, and when sitting down my knees touched the door. It want the cleanest for a restaurant, but not disgusting.
Service and food were great. It was Thursday and the place was hoppin. Queso dip was tasty. Loved the fried shrimp. Asparagus was fresh. Looking forward to trying more food!
Loved coming in here every evening after deer hunting to talk to other hunters. The bartender Veronica was amazing and made my day when I came in. Great drinks and great people!
This is such a wonderful place to go and enjoy a drink or have some delicious food. It can be hard to find quality food that isn’t deep fried in the boonies of northern Michigan, this place keeps fresh items in rotation. They always are trying new recipes for specials and use quality ingredients in what they make. My family and I have been coming here for years and will continue to do so. Summer brings live music and fires out on the patio and in winter it’s nice and cozy with a fireplace to sit next to while you warm up.
I love their food; pizza, Gorgonzola chicken, fish, burgers. Happy hour is always a good time with friends and adult beverages. I love the Elbo. I’ve been going there since the late 70’s when my husband first brought me UP NORTH. Kid-friendliness: Kids are part of the family atmosphere. Wheelchair accessibility: They are handicap friendly. The newly remodeled restrooms are now handicap accessible and beautiful to boot.
I have been coming here since the 70's . The new owners have brought this back to the gem it once was. Awesome food. Our waitress Lexie was nothing less than perfect. We typically have Laurie or Josie they treat us like family. Thanks for everything Kid-friendliness: Awesome service
Absolutely disgusting. First off we started with a couple drinks. We ordered 2 well drinks they were tall glasses with one shot in each drink. We got the queso dip and it was microwaved cheese with chips. We got 2 soups a mushroom bisque which was canned cream of mushroom and the Chili my wife got was hormel in a can with beans and ro tell. We got the chicken dinner for the Sunday special and it was absolutely terrible. The chicken was over cooked and the sides were out of a can. 10/10 would never recommend this place for anything.
Great food! Great service! I was very impressed at the selection of food for being out in the middle of nowhere.
They are a hidden gem. Their seafood specials are my favorite but they make great food overall. Their service is also great and it's a happening place!Food: 5/5
