We are never really prepared for a loss of a loved one. In the midst of our grief, important decisions must be made under the most difficult of circumstances. Egan Funeral Home in Bolton provided my family and me with the personal support and guidance we needed. Corey Jordan, Funeral Director at Egan guided us with experience and empathy during our time of sorrow and loss. He explained every detail, handling every aspect of the funeral services in the most knowledgeable, respectful and compassionate manner. Throughout, he took exceptional care of our family. Thank you to the Egan Funeral Home ‘family’ for helping us honour our loved one.

I recommend Egan's whole heartedly. Corey and Elaine dealt with the arrangements for my dear mother with sensitivity, grace and dignity. Every detail was addressed with great respect and truly helped to ease an extremely hard and difficult time. The team at Egan's are genuine and true professionals!

To the Egan family and staff, I want to thank you for making Moms funeral fitting for the woman she was. I want to thank you for helping us through the process and always making the time to answer questions even weeks afterwards when we were not sure what to do. From my family to yours, Thank you.

Their care and concern was so genuine, and in all aspects they excelled especially in choosing the Minister who gave a wonderful service.

My family will never use Egan again or recommend to others. It may be the only funeral home in Bolton but it is worth driving to a neighbouring community. My loved one' s funeral was poorly organized. At transition times our guests stood around confused never being told what was going to happen next. There was a change in the program and no one bothered to inform us leaving us to figure it out. But in the wrong ways it was very well organized. We were harshly (and at one point even sarcastically) scolded and reprimanded by the staff traffic patrol) and this was completely unwarranted. Even worse, certain key, immediate family members felt pushed around with stern gestures receiving cold treatment from a funeral director who seemed to lack much compassion for them. The end result was that that things did not happen in the way we know our loved one would have liked. The minute the scheduled visitation was over multiple staff appeared and our guests, while saying goodbye and getting ready to leave, felt that they were getting the 'stink eye'. In fact I was greeted when I came in and hung up my coat, with a plaque right on the hanger advertising to "inquire about packages and pricing". Yet at least one car in the fleet was, I am guessing, more than 25 years old? My loved one deserved so much better. A sad day made even sadder, with no second chance at changing our memories of our last goodbyes..
