Nice and clean hospital. This hospital consistently delivers great care. From the moment you walk in, the staff is compassionate, friendly and knowledgeable. The building is easy to access to and clean and dedicated professionals ensure outstanding patient outcomes. Safety and quality are top priorities. The family is great for kids to stay. recommend!
In Edson for a short work stint, I went to the emergency with severe abdominal pain. After pumping me full of morphine and running tests, they gave me a prescription to fill and sent me away with the IV STILL IN MY HAND which they had trouble getting in initially. I had to remove the IV myself in my hotel room, while still tripping on morphine. The hospital bedsheets had stains and the garbage bin was full with garbage on the floor.nImmediately after I was discharged I called back to ask for a doctors note to return to work tomorrow, at which point I was informed I’d have to go through the walk in clinics to get one.
Went in at night with an infected tooth, 2 days before I had been in for the same reason. Was given some oxys and a prescription for t3's and some antibiotics. 2 days later and the prescription was not working and my infection was getting worse so with my face puffed and swollen I went back in and was greeted with attitude by the administration staff after I had gone out of my way just to get their attention. Lights were off and nobody was to be seen when I initially went in. I was further told that I should have went in earlier cause there is no doctors at night apparently. What hospital doesn't have a night staffadministration, doctors ready to go at any given time? Isn't that what a hospital is for? If i only needed daytime assistance I thought that's what we had a clinic for? Understaffed and underfunded hospital in my opinion and it needs a lot of issues fixed/work done before i will consider it a decent hospital. By for worst hospital I have ever been to.
I delivered my baby here. It was the best labour and delivery experience I’ve had out of my 3 children. My other two were delivered in Ontario. The staff was amazing and the doctor delivering my baby was the nicest most caring person, let alone doctor. Not sure why this hospital has bad reviews but I have zero complaints!
I just wanted to tell the nurses and doctors who work in the surgical unit in Edson did a remarkable job in supporting and helping my wife Deborah Estey with her surgical procedure.They were very professional from the minute we walked in ,to the minute we left.They were super polite.They were by her side the whole time.Thanks again for your kindness ,friendliness and support.
