Sushi poorly made, washroom dirty and seat broken, and ants crawling over all the utensils. I pointed it out to the staff and she looked at it then went to the back and was giggling with the other workers. They did not clean the counters or remove the utensils. Employees take no pride in their store or product whatsoever. Disgusting. Stick to Harbour Landing or Cornwall location instead. If Head Office is reading this, maybe you should be more selective when approving new franchisees, this store was disgusting.
Edit Dec 2022: Still nasty. I ordered dynamite sushi with salmon nigiri and got salmon sushi with smoked salmon nigiri. I hate smoked salmon, couldn't eat anything. They also gave me spring rolls when I ordered shrimp tempura. The only item to-order was their cold gyoza Also, the staff don't heed allergy warnings and put snow peas in soup regardless of said warning. Edit: still garbage. Harbor landing is better. This location very clearly waters down its soup. Honestly I'd sooner spend extra time going across town than eat there again. The difference is by a mile Soup used to be phenomenal here. Amazing with soy sauce and Sriracha. Now its broth tastes very watered down. Barely any flavor. Its like this for every edo location now. Sushi barely holds together. So sad that the only good meal now is their bento box Dietary restrictions: They do not pay attention to dietary restrictions
Very friendly staff. Welcomed me with smiles as soon as entered the door. Engaged with my daughter and made feel special. Double checked my order with me to make sure it was made to my liking. Well done and thank you everyone!
Do not order from them. They never ever EVER get the order right. Sushi missing, teriyaki sauce missing, drinks missing. If you have to eat there go in to the place yourself and make sure you check what’s in the bag before you leave. We’ve ordered from them about 10 times and they have NOT gotten our order right ONCE.
It's was almost 6 months since I was able to be at an Edo's restuarant and I was happy to enjoy the sukiyaki beef with extra sauce and sumo sized, always filling, this is a restuarant and meal that I've enjoyed since the first time I was in this chain restuarant in Calgary Alberta ..... Poor service. Ordered my meal. Waited 15 min and somehow 2 people got their food before me even tho they ordered after me. No, my meal was not large and was just a meal for one. Then they proceeded to give my meal to the wrong customer who opened it and put their fork in it. Then when I asked for a new meal, the head chef/cook laughed because I had asked for a new meal. Immediately asked what was so funny about that and asked for my refund. I will never comeback to this location again. You could prob skip them too. Not the best Edo in town anyways.

One star for this branch! Very slow cashier or teller. She’s kinda deaf i think coz i said spicy and she did not hear it i guess coz my food wasn’t spicy!!! Just frustrating! She IS VERY SLOW! LIKE A TURTLE! Edu Japan grasslands is the best branch!
I order beef noodle dish sumo sized for myself and a teriyaki chicken for my wife. This is the second time I have ordered this from this store and the second time it was not Sumo sized. You would think I would learned the first time but I gave them the benifit of doubt. Never again. The food itself is good but customer service sucks. There is alot of food options in the area order somewhere else and get your moneys worth.
Good meal, it was however much smaller than last time I ate here, like half the size. Ordered the shrimp and only got 5 shrimp with my meal. Flavors were all still the same. Really annoying when skip the dishes takes priority over the customers who actually took the time to go and enjoy their food inside. Those of us who took the time to drive there and not remain planted on our couches and order in. Restaurants need to realize, they are getting to keep 100 percent of the profits from our meals where they have to pay at least 20 percent to skip for those that just get picked up and delivered. Honestly, for the amount of food we got and the time it took for them to get it to us, you might as well SKIP this location. Staff was friendly but did not in any manner make it a great dining experience. 90 percent of the restuarant had the chairs on top of the tables like it was closed for the night. Actually had to ask if they were open. Avoid this place.
