Got some compression socks here. Liked the variety they had both of colors, sizes, and heights. The staff there was able to help me find the correct size and I find them very comfortable and good quality.
I had vericose veins treated twice, with sclerotherapy. I wont say It didn't leave some ugly spots behind but the leg functionally feels better. The Doctor, while wasting no time is always friendly and efficient.
This is my first negative review i have ever left for a business and prefer only to give positive reviews when a business goes above and beyond for their customers. I will not go into details as I feel uncomfortable talking badly about people but i do want others looking for help in their medical situations to know what they are walking into, so i will say that i agree very much with the other negative reviews made especially about the get you in and out as quickly as possible scenarios. Very disappointed and do NOT at all recommend this so called clinic.
Vein was recommended to me by a friend. This is the most incredible group of people... doctors, nurses, etc. Very Professional and Always Service with a smile, and Genuinely Love how they take care of patients. I highly recommend them. Thank you for make this process so comfortable and easy.
I am a very nervous medical patient, so when I walked into the office and Dr Yu instantly started talking sugery I became very nervous and spent a lot of my wait before my first visit panicking. Today I had my second vein removed, and just like last time it was quick and smooth. A change in policy that was thrown at me put me into a bit of a panic, but the staff there helped to calm me so I could go through the procedure. Thank you very much to Dr Yu and his entire team!
The name of the game here seems to be how fast can we get you in and out the door, take your money, and cross our fingers on the actual results . Over a period of a couple of years I had three separate procedures performed by Dr. Chai Yu, - Endovenous Laser treatment, Ambulatory Phlebectomy, and Sclerotheropy. During the first procedure which of course was paid for out of my pocket and very expensive to me the doctor said under his breath “oh I don’t know if this will work, this vein is so big “, well guess what - it didn’t work. Then over time with the next procedures it was the same results - slight improvement and then back to the Veins being as bad as ever. This was at a cost of $2500 to me. I’m sitting now with a leg that is worse than when I started. I’m now seeing an actual surgeon from an actual hospital that will be performing what is called a High Ligation of the Saphenous vein paid for by Alberta health care . I believe now that this is what I needed in the very beginning it tackles the actual root of the problem but I was steered towards The Vein clinic by my family doctor because their work is viewed as newer and less invasive - the idea i think is start with that and hope it works. The surgeon I’m seeing now has made two comments that I find to be interesting - the first one he made during my initial consultation when we were reviewing my experience and history with The Vein Clinic - he said “ wow it sounds like you’ve been taken “ , that was his words after hearing of my experience and cost of the work done. Another comment made by this surgeon was that he does his procedure a few times a month and it’s often performed on people that end up in his office after having poor results at the Vein Clinic. I think everyone’s situation is possibly unique so I can only speak of my personal experience and journey but you should know that there are options out there other than paying out of your pocket for procedures that will hopefully simply improve your quality of life only to be broke and disappointed in the end. If it feels like you’re being taken - you probably are. *** a side note to this is that after finding this surgeon that will now be finally taking over, I contacted the Vein Clinic to get my history with them so I could pass this on to my doctor to help us in evaluating the current situation - I got the complete run around from the secretary, first I couldn’t get it without driving 4 hrs to sign for it I live out of town , then my doctor tried and was told they couldn’t have it without my written consent, then when I showed up in front of her at the clinic to her surprise - she lied to me saying that she had “ sent it that morning “ but I couldn’t have a copy unless I paid $25. After a discussion she apparently saw it my way and gave me the information I needed and said “ she’d also be sure to send that to my doctor today “ .... haha wait a minute you said a minute ago you sent that away this morning ....... In the end I can say my experience with the Vein Clinic was very poor as well as costly. I felt steered this direction and simply didn’t know any better and thought this to be my only option, I now know different.
Nice staff. Excellent & profesional vascular doctor.
I was referred to the Vein Clinic by my Dr. about 6 or 7 years back. I wanted a consultation. I was ushered into a room where the nurse asked me questions. I was concerned about my spider veins. The doctor came in don't remember which one, the meeting was brief & I felt like I was wasting his time he wasn't engaged at all. Yes, I was there for cosmetic purposes and not "medical" issues, but I didn't think that should have made a difference. The nurse injected a vein which was barely visible above my knee on the inner side of my thigh, so that I could see what type of results I can achieve. I bought the 2 pairs of recommended support stocking & wore them faithfully. The result...a big nasty patch of deep blue spider veins right at the injection site.
Dr. Yu is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled! I have and will continue to recommend his expertise and clinic to many that suffer from vascular concerns.
Staff are very helpful. Dr. Yu resolved my vein issues easily. He was great to communicate with and ensured I was aware of every step of the process. He was very engaging as was his nursing staff.
