Main St. Wheaton, IL 60187 info@PrairieSchoolofDuPage.org Story Prairie School of DuPage offers an environmental, place-based curriculum for pre-K through grade 8. We are located on 42 acres of woods and water in Wheaton Il. We follow a traditional yearly school calendar. Prairie School has an open-classroom model with mixed-age classrooms. The student-teacher ratio is kept at a 12/1 maximum. This allows for authentic project-based and place-based learning through small group and individual instruction. In addition to traditional academics, Prairie School of DuPage emphasizes outdoor education, nature studies, the arts, music, foreign language, yoga, and theater.
