Story Muskegon Public Schools has come a long way since the first two-room school was established on Terrace Street. Today the system boasts 13 schools, 200 teachers and 5,500 students, a marked increase from the one teacher and a handful of students of the pioneer days. Advancement has been made in the curriculum and today the schools prepare their students for the challenges of the 21st century.
