Mission Founded in 1982, the Hellenic-Canadian Community of Edmonton and Region is a cultural organization with non-profi t and registered charity status. Welcoming to all Canadians and those of Greek origin, the basic purposes of the community are: (1) to advance the Hellenic culture as part of a multicultural Canadian heritage; (2) to promote better understanding, appreciation and advancement of the Hellenic arts; (3) to carry on charitable, artistic, educational and cultural functions; and to (4) advance Hellenic culture and education by housing a Hellenic language school and library.
