We serve more than 8,000 individuals and families annually, with 85% being non-Catholic. More than two-thirds of our clients report annual incomes below $15,000 and represent 50% of the poorest members of our community. We offer more than two dozen programs to address a wide range of critical social problems and to help families at all stages of life—including food assistance, mental health treatment, substance abuse group therapy, domestic violence and child abuse prevention, adoption and pregnancy counseling, and services for frail elders and at-risk families. To facilitate this vital work, we bring together local stakeholders to help us address the most challenging issues in our communities, such as the needs of our aging population, prisoner re-entry, chronic mental health issues, lack of parenting skills, domestic violence, elder abuse, and child sexual abuse.These problems often occur in households without sufficient income or education, without the support of family or friends, and often without hope—creating complex social conditions that are not easily resolved.
