About We carry a full range of leading skate and skate apparel manufacturers such as Jackson, Jerry's, Mondor, Motionwear, and Wilson - to name a few! Story Originally established in 1974, Figure 8 Boutique Limited was created by Mrs. Madeleine Simard, an entrepreneurial woman who started in a simple way by selling skates in her home basement. Shortly after starting the business, assessing the reaction of her customers and wanting to meet local by-law restrictions, Mrs. Simard moved her growing business to a commercial site. Now Figure 8 carries a full range of leading skate and skate apparel manufacturers such as Jackson, Jerry's, Mondor, Motionwear, and Wilson - to name a few! Our staff also offers professional skate sharpening, replacement blades and mounting, custom blade contouring, heat molding, boot stretching, and skate rentals. In April 2002, Figure 8 also added to its core figure skating business by creating a new division called Hockey One Skate Specialists. Over the years, Figure 8 had expanded their expertise in skate fitting to include hockey skates. Now we offer a full range of hockey skates and equipment from manufacturers such as Bauer, CCM, Easton, Graf and Reebok. In the summer, Figure 8 keeps busy with one of Ottawa's best selections of inline skates by makers such as Bauer, K2 and Rollerblade. Impressum Skates are what we know!
