About Dr. Anita Bassi, Optometrist Story Dr. Anita Bassi received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1995 at the University of Alberta with a major in Psychology and a minor in Biological Sciences. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 1999. During her training, Dr. Bassi completed her Ocular Health Externship working in a multidisciplinary health care facility in Largo, Florida. In April 1999, she received her certificate for the Treatment and Management of Ocular disease from the International Association of Board of Examiners in Optometry. Dr. Bassi also completed her Primary Eye Care Internship in Edmonton and in Waterloo. After graduating, Dr. Bassi has worked in laser eye care clinics alongside surgeons and in various busy private practices in both Alberta and Central Ontario. She is now settled in Toronto working full time in her own full dispensing practice located in the heart of the Annex.
