About A one-stop shop for all your urban homesteading needs! Story Homestead Junction (formerly Homesteader's Emporium) carries everything you need to get started with a variety of home self-sufficiency projects, like growing and preserving your own food, making cheese, keeping chickens, or making soap. If you're new to these things, you've come to the right place! We'll be a great resource for beginners with knowledgeable staff, demonstrations, and instructional workshops. All workshops and events are held at our retail storefront at 649 E Hastings unless otherwise stated. Our retail store will open only during once-monthly pop-up Market Weekends: March 10-12 Friday March 10th: 11am-6pm (stick around afterward for a social! Mission We offer accessible, quality supplies for self-sufficiency, especially those that would otherwise be difficult or inconvenient to source. We offer a continuum of learning options, creating consistently awesome introductory content while tapping into a network of specialists to help people take their skills to higher levels. We forge alliances with grassroots organizations that promote self-sufficiency and sustainability through education.
