About "The Sounds of your Life since 1940" Story Johnstones Music Land first opened it's doors November 14th 1940. It's still family owned and proud to be one of Canada's oldest music stores. We truly appreciate each and every customer. Our customers are the best. :) "Opened in November 1940 by Ted and Lillian Johnstone. 1964 Guy and Kathy Johnstone purchased the store. 1999 the store until this day is owned and operated by Beth Johnstone and Steve Paskin."
