Story Squamish Montessori Elementary School (SMES) is a Province of British Columbia Kindergraten to Grade 6 independent school. The Squamish Montessori Society oversees the SMES and is a not-for-profit organization. Mission Squamish Montessori Elementary School is committed to meeting the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of the child. Within the framework of AMI Montessori principles and philosophy, the school’s main goal is to provide each child with the opportunity to develop to their full potential, in a safe, loving, and affirming environment.
